1cloudstar on-premise manage storage provides you with the latest storage technology charged on a
per gigabyte per month when you start to use it. In addition 1cloudstar will provision an overflow
storage buffer from day one in anticipation of any future growth.
How Does It Work
1cloudstar will design, deploy and configure the 1cloudstar CloudStore platform within your data
centre for a nominal fixed price set-up fee. Thereafter the managed storage service has two compo-nents
– a fixed base minimum capacity, plus a pre-provisioned storage buffer for any overflow usage.
The key is you only pay for what you consume. Once the buffer shelf has reached 80% of capacity then
1cloudstar will provide a new shelf automatically ensuring your business can always meet demand.
When the system needs to be replaced at the end of the term the volumes are easily migrated to the
new platform, with no data loss and continuous availability.
Full-Featured NAS
1cloudstar’s cloud storage appliances controls all aspects of local storage and data protection function-ality,
providing full business-grade NAS features. They support local network file sharing protocols
including CIFS, and NFS, as well as providing resizable volumes, 256-bit AES encryption, user storage
quotas, iSCSI support and RAID for redundancy. In addition CloudStore allows for thin-provisioned local
snapshot capabilities within the ZFS filesystem.
Harnessing the Cloud
1cloudstar’s managed storage solution leverages cloud storage for primary, secondary storage and
disaster recovery purposes, while providing centralized management and control of remote site
storage. This architecture scales petabytes of data and integrates with Amazon Web Services S3 to
facilitate off-site storage through replication. This will allows you to store unlimited amounts of data
without the need for additional local storage. AES 256 bit encryption and compression is provided for
storing data to cloud storage. In addition, the deduplicating data before sending date to the cloud
feature, which improves readability minimizes storage and maximize write performance.
