All the Direct Hit nozzles and accessories have been designed for a specific job.
If you need to cut roots in a forward direction up-sream or down-stream, the first nozzle you should always purchase is the
C38rs Extreme penetrator.
This nozzle comes with three triangular (under 42 L/min or 11 Gpm) or six back jets (over 42 L/min or 11 Gpm).
Purchase a C38rs cap and make it a flusher.
We highly recommend purchasing the C38rs Carriage with three side jets together or as your next purchase. This
combination will unblock any blockage (tree roots and wipes with time and patience) in a straight line or around bends.
With the three-side jet C38rs carriage, you can easier:
- unblock a collapsed pipe downstream or go over dislodged pipes
- cut better at the top of the pipe the tree roots
- cut tree roots easier to unlock around 45-degree and 90-degree bends, turn into any junction going upstream
The C43rs (30º front water cone) will not penetrate tree roots as well as the C38rs (24º front water cone ) but the C43rs
is better than the C38rs as your second option All rounder penetrator in the following usages:
- flushes better debris downstream
- cuts roots better than the C38rs on the top of the pipe (without the three-side carriage)
- cleans better downstream the wall of 100mm (4") and 150mm (6") pipe from grease
- with a three-side C43rs carriage, you can cut roots better around bends in Extreme situations
- cuts tree roots better, when a horizontal pipe drops into a 45-degree bend, then into a 45-degree junction or a horizontal pipe
into a 90-degree junction.

The assembly will drop in the shaft
due to its weight.
Turn the water
on.
Once you hit the shaft turn the water oﬀ. Let the pressure
in the hose drop (this will make the hose ﬂexible).
TO AVOID HOSE DAMAGE WHEN JETTING
BACKWARDS, TURN THE WATER OFF, WHEN
GOING THROUGH ANY DROP JUNCTION OR BEND.
IF IT FEELS THAT IT‘S JAMMING, GO FORWARD
500 MM (2") TURN THE WATER OFF, THEN PULL
THE HOSE QUICKLY (WHIP IT OUT) AND IT WILL
BOUNCE AROUND THE TEE OR BEND.
