A Date for Your Diary
Lenten reflections on the Mass given by our cluster Catechist, Colette Furlong will
take place in the Fr. Curley room, Community Centre beginning on Wednesday 25th
February after the 10:00am morning Mass. All are welcome to attend.
Trocaire
Trocaire information pack for lent is available at the back and side door. Please take a
pack home for lent and help those who are less fortunate in our world. Hunger Lunch
for Trocaire takes place in the Gillooly Hall on Ash Wednesday from 12 noon - 2pm.
Music of Love
Concert in the Cathedral, Sligo this Sunday at 3:00pm with Harp, Cello and
solo singer. Admission Free.

Marriage Family & Society
Sligo Park Hotel on Tuesday 17th February at 8:00pm. A talk given by Bishop Kevin
Doran. Please come along and reflect on this important subject.
Lenten Prayer - Lord Jesus, You came among us to show us how to
live life to the full and to prepare for that work you went into the desert for
forty days. During this season of Lent help us to set aside time to reflect on
what it means for us to live life to the full. Help us to see ourselves as we are
and not to be afraid to make changes. Help us to be generous and open to your
Spirit who prompts us to do the right thing. Help us to look at the big picture
and to know that each of us has a part to play in making the world a better
place Lead us along the path to Easter and a true understanding of the depth
of your love. Amen
Vocations Workshop - The Elphin Diocese is holding a Vocations Workshop
in the Star of the Sea Retreat Centre in Mullaghmore on 27th -28th February. Further
details from Fr. Jim at 071-9162136 or Fr. John at 071-9662012. The two days will
reflect on the call to priesthood and help you to begin to make a decision.
Accommodation and meals provided free of charge during the workshop. Booking
form available at the Church Bookstand.
Prayers for the Family Adoration with prayers for the family continues
on Tuesday evening beginning at 7:00pm. This is a special time to
remember our families in prayer and ask God's blessing upon them.

St. John's FC 5km Road Race Takes place on 8th March at 12 noon ,
registration from 11am in Cuilbeg , 10 euro per adult , 5 euro u16 . All
welcome . The underage teams will take part in St. Patrick's day parade

laughter. Staged by St. Farnan's Drama Group in aid of St. Joseph's School,

Holy Well
The season of Lent invites us to journey back in pilgrimage to tour Holy
Well. Let us take time to say a quiet prayer or light a candle as we
contemplate the various shrines or reflect at the Mass Rock.
Bereaved
We remember in our prayers Mary Scanlon, Aughamore, whose funeral took place on
Wednesday. Mary will be remembered for her faithful and dedicated service to the
Holy Well over many years. May she restin peace.
Carraroe Community Centre
Exercise for the older adult - This class is especially organised for the older adult in
our parish. The class is structured to your needs and begins at 10:30am on
Wednesday.
Many other classes take place in the Community Centre throughout the week Please

Church Candelabras
Our Church has two candelabras dedicated to St. Anthony and Our
Lady. Please visit, say a prayer and light a candle.
Parish History Book
Work is continuing on the Parish History Book. If you have any old
photographs, parish stories or other information, please contact Olivia

All photographs will be returned.
Divine Mercy Novena
Takes place every Friday in our Church beginning at 3:00pm. Leaflets
are also available at the Church Bookstand.
Accord - Sligo
Accord provide Pre-Marriage courses on a regular basis. These can be booked online

marriage course should be booked at least 6 months before the wedding.
Steps towards a Healthy Lifestyle
This 6 week course which is starting in St. Michael’s Family Life Centre, Church Hill,
on Wednesday 18th February will help participants to lay the foundation for healthy
living including improving diet, increasing physical activity, recognising and
managing stress and finding support to make and maintain healthy lifestyle choices.
