Family Carers
Ireland are providing the QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support Award training in Sligo
commencing the 09/08/2016. Each module will be run separately one day a week for
five weeks from 9.30am – 4.30pm.

First Friday
Friday is a First Friday. Calls to the sick and housebound will take place on Thursday
after the 10.00am Morning Mass. Adoration on Friday will begin at 6.00pm followed
by Mass at 7.00pm.
Distribution of Communion at Mass
To help with the smooth distribution of Holy Communion at some of the weekend
Masses, a Eucharistic Minister will go to the Balcony. Please keep the stairs clear and
remember seats are always available at the front of the Church. Thank you for your
help.
Congratulations
Congratulations to Sr. Mary Olivia Kelly, Carraroe who will make her Solemn
Profession of Vows with the Carmelite Community in Knock on 3rd September. Let
us remember Sr. Mary Olivia in our prayers and thoughts in the days ahead.
St. Enda's National School
We wish the staff and students of our school a happy and safe Summer. Every blessing
to sixth class as they begin a new journey after the Summer into Secondary school.
Please remember that the school grounds are private property and are not open to the
public. In the interest of security CCTV is in operation on the grounds.
2. Parish Ministries
Summer time can be difficult for Parish Ministries. Please check the day and date that
you are helping out in the Parish. If you are not available, please try and get a
replacement.
Support Your Church
Please continue to support your Church by using the Parish envelope provided
during the year or giving notes or coins. Your support is needed and appreciated.
Recent Baptisms
Congratulations to Noel and Marie Jinks, Meadowvale, Tonaphubble on
the Baptism of Ronan Patrick and Donagh and Hazel Henry, Cuilbeg on
the Baptism of Daniel Patrick. Every blessing in the future.
Parish Calendar
As we move into July the Parish Calendar has a wonderful display in
the centre based on the Holy Well, Carraroe National School and
Parish Events. Please take a look at your Parish Calendar.
Keeping our Church Tidy
We clean the Church every week and ask you as a parishioner and visitor to help us
keep it clean and tidy. Please return Missalette to the back or side door after Mass.
Your support is appreciated.
Candelabra
We will soon have a replacement for the Candelabra to Our Lady at the front of the
Church. In the meantime the shrine to St. Anthony is available at the back of the
Church.
St. John's FC
Registration evening on Wed July 13th at 7pm in Cuilbeg and Wed July 20th at 7pm
in Cuilbeg. Forms are available on our website

Pre- Marriage Course - Accord Sligo
If you are getting married now is the time to do your Pre-Marriage by
contacting ACCORD at 071-9145641. The pre-marriage course should be booked at
least 3 - 6 months in advance of the wedding.
St. John's G.A.A.
Are holding a family fun, walk and sports day at Cuilbeg on 3rd July. Registration
from 12.15pm and events start at 2pm. Registration Child €2, Family €5. Many
novelty events during the day. Please come along.
National Collection for World Family Conference in Ireland

As we approach the Garland Weekend celebrations at the Holy Well copies of the
Holy Well, History and Heritage and now available at the Church Bookstand. This
is a wonderful way to reflect on the story of this sacred place and to share it with

NORTH WEST STROKE GROUP:
The Group is operated by local volunteers to assist those impacted by a Stroke and
their families/carers to continue as best as possible their work and leisure. We do this
by holding Social meeting, lunches and outings for members. Our next meeting will
be on Wednesday 29th June in the Irish Wheelchair premises at Abbeyville, Sligo
(Near Fire Station) at 8pm. The group will have a Church Gate collection at all
Masses in Carraroe on Sat/Sun 2/3 July. Your support would be greatly

There are 70 residents in the Carraroe area trained in CPR/AED with a distribution
of those trained on almost every road. There are currently AED/Defibs located at
Community Centre, Carraroe, Community Football Pitches, Sligo Park Hotel (2) GP
Surgery Pearse Rd and Sligo County Council Yard Ballindrehid ( 8 am to 4 pm ).
The code to open both defibrillator/AED protectors (Community Centre and
Community Field) is 2014 followed by pressing the correct (✔ ) key. Please note the
code in case of emergency.
