8 super useful tips in teaching beginner esl lessons online & it is not w...Daniel DiDio
First, beginner ESL lessons can be tricky for “Solo” teachers when teaching them online. Mistakes happen so don’t beat yourself up about it and focus more on the student, not the material. I know you want to make a great first impression with the parents and the student. I’m a little stiff for the first few lessons so stay loose and have fun.

Natalie has cerebral palsy and started using augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices at a young age to communicate. She began with eye pointing to symbols and then progressed to using an ORAC communication aid with switches. Over many years, she advanced her skills from using symbols to words and increased the complexity of her overlays and scanning methods. She later transitioned to dynamic screen devices like the Cameleon and Grid 2 to allow for more advanced communication functions. Now she is waiting for funding for a new Tobii eye gaze device to continue improving her independent communication abilities.
Edilson Araujo took a learning preferences test that found he prefers active, visual, and sequential learning styles. Throughout the class, he found multimedia tools like podcasts, lectures, and interactive games helped accommodate his learning preferences. Going forward, Edilson plans to continue using interactive multimedia games and simulations to supplement his learning, as he found them engaging and effective. He aims to avoid social multimedia technologies which he found distracting.
