This document describes the role of a Shift Engineer at an iron and steel plant in Angul, Odisha, India. The Shift Engineer is responsible for providing electrical and instrumentation support during shifts at various facilities including a 250-ton furnace, ladle furnace, and vacuum degassing/secondary metallurgy system. Key responsibilities include maintenance, automation system support, overseeing field instruments, electrical power systems, cranes, and motors. The Shift Engineer must also ensure safety, documentation, and may suggest operational improvements. Reporting to the Shift In Charge or Head of Department, the position requires a diploma or bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or instrumentation with experience in steelmaking facilities.

Since 1995, I have been working on industrial systems. But after 1996 have been dealing major international Project which factory , underground/metro construction projects. That is why my skills include ability to manage projects on factory, underground/metro, mass transit in all phases from planning to designing, construction and operation and asset managements(assembling, maintenance, breakdown etc.). Also recent achievements have included designed for many different type of stations electromechanical and rail systems which the supervision of the Rail Systems Contractor site installation activities at Maintenance Depot, both Stabling Yards, Stations, Tunnels, Elevated and At-Grade
Professional experience also includes acting as a leader or a flexible team member for all multi-disciplinary engineering works include short term contracts ,re- organized work to increase efficiency & productivity .

• Shall work on/Supervise at following Automation Systems ABB / Rs Logix 500/ Siemens
S7-400/300 etc.
• Shall Work on/ Supervise the job activities on following field Instruments Flow
Transmitter/Pressure Transmitter/ Temperature Transmitter / Control valves/Load cell
/controller/Gas Analyzer etc.
• Shall work on/ Supervise the job activities on following Electrical Power system/ 6.6kV HT /
415V PCC/MCC
• Shall work on/Supervise the job on LTC/SPTC/EOT Carne up to 250 Ton Capacity
• Shall work on / Supervise the job activities on MHS/Conveyors / HT / LT Motors,
Transformers etc.
• Shall work on/Supervise the job on Arching Transformer: 200+10% MVA (NOEF) &
Arching Transformer:40 MVA(LF)
• Shall be involved in Spare/Inventory management for E&I Dept
• Provide Support to the members of Operation / Electrical/Mechanical team as per need
during Predictive/ Preventive /Breakdown maintenance.
• Ensure the Implementation Fire and Safety / Environment policy of JSPL at Shop Floor
• Documentation and Implementation of IMS (9001,18001,45001), Energy management and
conservation (EnMS-50001)
• Shall Suggest operational improvements in the process, based on his/her experience and
Knowledge.
