This document provides a template for planning a unit using Understanding by Design (UbD). The template has three stages: 1) Desired Results, 2) Evidence of Learning, and 3) Learning Plan. Stage 1 involves establishing goals, understandings, and essential questions for the unit. Stage 2 focuses on assessments to evaluate student learning. Stage 3 outlines key learning events and instruction to help students meet the goals. The template is designed to align the three stages and ensure the unit is planned backward from the desired results.
