IRJET- Static Structural Analysis of Formula Student Space Frame

This document presents the static structural analysis of the space frame roll cage for a Formula Student race car. The roll cage was designed in SolidWorks to comply with competition rules. AISI 1018 steel was selected as the material due to its availability, low cost, and ability to withstand stresses. Finite element analysis was performed in ANSYS to simulate front, rear, and side impacts, as well as torsion. Forces for the impact simulations were calculated using the work-energy principle. The analyses showed the roll cage design has sufficient strength with deformations and stresses below permissible limits to safely absorb loads during a crash. The goal of the analysis was to validate the roll cage design and optimize it for strength and low weight.

This document presents the analysis and design of a proposed (G+3) engineering building using STAAD Pro software. The building has a total area of 463.25 square meters. The structural elements like beams, columns, slabs, and foundations were designed for two frame spacing options: 3 meters and 4.5 meters. The analysis found that the 4.5 meter frame spacing used less concrete and steel than the 3 meter spacing, making it more economical. This document presents an experimental and analytical study on the behavior of checkered steel-encased concrete composite beams. Static load tests were conducted on simply supported rectangular and trapezoidal CSCC beams. The trapezoidal beam carried more load than the rectangular beam due to its geometry. Finite element analysis using ANSYS was also conducted to model the beams. The analytical results closely matched the experimental data, with load variations of 2-4%. CFRP-encased beams were also modeled, showing they could carry over double the load of CSCC beams due to CFRP's higher yield strength. In conclusion, trapezoidal sections and CFRP encasement can increase the load-carrying capacity of composite beams.

IRJET- Analysis and Performance of Ogrid Lateral Bracing System

IRJET Journal

This document analyzes and compares the performance of a new type of lateral bracing system called OGrid bracing through finite element modeling and analysis. OGrid bracing consists of circular braces connected to a moment resisting frame with welded joints. Models of OGrid bracing with different cross-sectional geometries for the brace (I-section, C-section, rectangular section) were created in ANSYS and subjected to lateral loading. The results found that the OGrid bracing with an I-section brace had the best ductility and load carrying capacity compared to the other sections. Therefore, this type of OGrid bracing shows potential for use in seismic-resistant structures.

IRJET- Nonlinear Analysis of a Superplastically Formed Automotive Fender

IRJET Journal

This document summarizes a finite element analysis of superplastic forming of an automotive fender panel using two aluminum alloys, 5182 and 8090. The analysis was conducted using ABAQUS software to evaluate metrics like blank holder pressure, thinning percentage, stress, and energy for each material. Results showed the maximum thinning of the fender made from alloy 5182 was 50% with a peak stress of 927 MPa and blank holder pressure of 1760 kN. For the 8090 alloy fender, maximum thinning was also 50% with lower peak stress of 700 MPa but higher blank holder pressure of 3372 kN. Automatic Painting Gun for Solar Storage Tank with Arduino UNO Microcontroller

This document describes an automatic painting system for the internal surfaces of solar water heater storage tanks. The system uses an Arduino Uno microcontroller to control a stepper motor that drives a painting gun along a rack and pinion gear system. This allows the painting gun to automatically paint the inside of tanks, improving over the manual painting process. A literature review found that internal tank painting is currently done manually, which is costly and less accurate. The proposed automatic system could help address these issues through controlled, automated painting.

Failure Analysis of Composite Windshield

IRJET- Static Analysis of Pulsar Bike Frame Made Up of Aluminum Alloy 6063

IRJET Journal

This document summarizes research analyzing the static structural performance of a motorcycle frame made from aluminum alloy 6063, as an alternative to mild steel. This document proposes a 2x2 array of E-shaped patch antennas without defected ground structures for WIMAX applications between 5.66GHz and 7.12GHz. The antenna is designed on an FR4 substrate with a dielectric constant of 4.4 and thickness of 1.6mm. Simulation results show the reflection coefficient is less than -10dB across the frequency band. Gains of 3.7 dBi and 6.2 dBi and directivities of 9.04 and 9.4 are achieved at 5.66GHz and 7.12GHz respectively, demonstrating the antenna's suitability for wireless communication systems. In conclusion, the E-shaped patch antenna array provides improved performance for the target frequencies.

IRJET- Effect of Floating Column on Structral Frames During Seismic Forces

IRJET Journal

This document analyzes the effect of floating columns on structural frames during seismic forces. Six different structural models are analyzed: a regular 8-story building and variations adding floating columns at the periphery or alternating floors. Both equivalent static analysis and response spectrum methods are used to compare story shear, drift, and displacement. The response spectrum method results in higher displacements and drifts compared to the equivalent static analysis, with up to a 28% increase in deflection. In general, models with more floating columns experience greater seismic effects, with story shear reduced by up to 21% compared to the regular model.

Time Division Multiplexing (TDM) is a method of transmitting multiple signals over a single communication channel by dividing the signal into many segments, each having a very short duration of time. These time slots are then allocated to different data streams, allowing multiple signals to share the same transmission medium efficiently. TDM is widely used in telecommunications and data communication systems. ### How TDM Works 1. **Time Slots Allocation**: The core principle of TDM is to assign distinct time slots to each signal. During each time slot, the respective signal is transmitted, and then the process repeats cyclically. For example, if there are four signals to be transmitted, the TDM cycle will divide time into four slots, each assigned to one signal. 2. **Synchronization**: Synchronization is crucial in TDM systems to ensure that the signals are correctly aligned with their respective time slots. Both the transmitter and receiver must be synchronized to avoid any overlap or loss of data. This synchronization is typically maintained by a clock signal that ensures time slots are accurately aligned. 3. **Frame Structure**: TDM data is organized into frames, where each frame consists of a set of time slots. Each frame is repeated at regular intervals, ensuring continuous transmission of data streams. The frame structure helps in managing the data streams and maintaining the synchronization between the transmitter and receiver. 4. **Multiplexer and Demultiplexer**: At the transmitting end, a multiplexer combines multiple input signals into a single composite signal by assigning each signal to a specific time slot. At the receiving end, a demultiplexer separates the composite signal back into individual signals based on their respective time slots. ### Types of TDM 1. **Synchronous TDM**: In synchronous TDM, time slots are pre-assigned to each signal, regardless of whether the signal has data to transmit or not. This can lead to inefficiencies if some time slots remain empty due to the absence of data. 2. **Asynchronous TDM (or Statistical TDM)**: Asynchronous TDM addresses the inefficiencies of synchronous TDM by allocating time slots dynamically based on the presence of data. The proper function of the integrated circuit (IC) in an inhibiting electromagnetic environment has always been a serious concern throughout the decades of revolution in the world of electronics, from disjunct devices to today’s integrated circuit technology, where billions of transistors are combined on a single chip. The automotive industry and smart vehicles in particular, are confronting design issues such as being prone to electromagnetic interference (EMI). Electronic control devices calculate incorrect outputs because of EMI and sensors give misleading values which can prove fatal in case of automotives. In this paper, the authors have non exhaustively tried to review research work concerned with the investigation of EMI in ICs and prediction of this EMI using various modelling methodologies and measurement setups.

Car accident rates have increased in recent years, resulting in losses in human lives, properties, and other financial costs. An embedded machine learning-based system is developed to address this critical issue. The system can monitor road conditions, detect driving patterns, and identify aggressive driving behaviors. The system is based on neural networks trained on a comprehensive dataset of driving events, driving styles, and road conditions. The system effectively detects potential risks and helps mitigate the frequency and impact of accidents. The primary goal is to ensure the safety of drivers and vehicles. Collecting data involved gathering information on three key road events: normal street and normal drive, speed bumps, circular yellow speed bumps, and three aggressive driving actions: sudden start, sudden stop, and sudden entry. The gathered data is processed and analyzed using a machine learning system designed for limited power and memory devices. The developed system resulted in 91.9% accuracy, 93.6% precision, and 92% recall. The achieved inference time on an Arduino Nano 33 BLE Sense with a 32-bit CPU running at 64 MHz is 34 ms and requires 2.6 kB peak RAM and 139.9 kB program flash memory, making it suitable for resource-constrained embedded systems.

Climate change's impact on the planet forced the United Nations and governments to promote green energies and electric transportation. The deployments of photovoltaic (PV) and electric vehicle (EV) systems gained stronger momentum due to their numerous advantages over fossil fuel types. The advantages go beyond sustainability to reach financial support and stability. The work in this paper introduces the hybrid system between PV and EV to support industrial and commercial plants. This paper covers the theoretical framework of the proposed hybrid system including the required equation to complete the cost analysis when PV and EV are present. In addition, the proposed design diagram which sets the priorities and requirements of the system is presented. The proposed approach allows setup to advance their power stability, especially during power outages. The presented information supports researchers and plant owners to complete the necessary analysis while promoting the deployment of clean energy. The result of a case study that represents a dairy milk farmer supports the theoretical works and highlights its advanced benefits to existing plants. The short return on investment of the proposed approach supports the paper's novelty approach for the sustainable electrical system. In addition, the proposed system allows for an isolated power setup without the need for a transmission line which enhances the safety of the electrical network
