Founder of Children’s Tech Review and host of the Dust or Magic Institute, Warren Buckleitner knows the ins and outs of children’s apps, ebooks, and digital games. Children’s Tech Review offers some of the best and highest quality ongoing trends reporting in the children's digital app space. Warren will explain what works and what’s next in children’s digital technology.
In The Innovation Secrets of Steve Jobs, business journalist Carmine Gallo describes the seven principles that form the philosophical core of master innovator, Steve Jobs. Although there is only one Steve Jobs, studying and following these principles can inspire creativity and the ability to ‘think different’
in any profession or workplace. Among these principles are the importance of following one’s heart and pursuing one’s passion, as well as the importance of seeking out new experiences. Innovations occur by making connections between unexpected things, and this ability is rooted in a life filled with a wide range
of experiences. Simplicity is also crucial, because anything
which is more complicated than it needs to be will attract a narrower audience. Also important is the ability to communicate the importance and utility of one’s innovation, or tell its story, effectively.

Above The Code (TM) Story Telling & Branded Content - : TechLoft / Tel Aviv...Alan Weinkrantz
U.S. Public Relations Consultant, Alan Weinkrantz' nsights on Story Telling and Branded Content Strategies for 2013.
Weinkrantz's core premise of the discussion will be based on studying and playing music for the last 50 years, with his belief sets about music being the original code with great story telling.
What Weinkrantz sees today in most startups is great code, great UI and little and generally no story telling. He will discuss the art of story telling in the context of a building and sustaining a startup and its role in adding value to a company.
Visit: http://www.alanweinkrantz.com or email Alan - alan@weinkrantz.com
Story telling, having a voice, and the on-going narrative is a reflection of the startup's heart and soul. It also becomes the body of work which will help the startup recruit talent, gain investors, attract customers, build partnerships and be discovered by the media. It is the later that he will focus on. This discussion will not be about how to pitch media, but rather, how to prepare yourself to best work with the media by having not only a great product or service, but a body of work that will separate you from your competitors.

Securing your Kubernetes cluster_ a step-by-step guide to success !KatiaHIMEUR1
Today, after several years of existence, an extremely active community and an ultra-dynamic ecosystem, Kubernetes has established itself as the de facto standard in container orchestration. Thanks to a wide range of managed services, it has never been so easy to set up a ready-to-use Kubernetes cluster.
However, this ease of use means that the subject of security in Kubernetes is often left for later, or even neglected. This exposes companies to significant risks.
In this talk, I'll show you step-by-step how to secure your Kubernetes cluster for greater peace of mind and reliability.

Elevating Tactical DDD Patterns Through Object CalisthenicsDorra BARTAGUIZ
After immersing yourself in the blue book and its red counterpart, attending DDD-focused conferences, and applying tactical patterns, you're left with a crucial question: How do I ensure my design is effective? Tactical patterns within Domain-Driven Design (DDD) serve as guiding principles for creating clear and manageable domain models. However, achieving success with these patterns requires additional guidance. Interestingly, we've observed that a set of constraints initially designed for training purposes remarkably aligns with effective pattern implementation, offering a more ‘mechanical’ approach. Let's explore together how Object Calisthenics can elevate the design of your tactical DDD patterns, offering concrete help for those venturing into DDD for the first time!

zkStudyClub - Reef: Fast Succinct Non-Interactive Zero-Knowledge Regex ProofsAlex Pruden
This paper presents Reef, a system for generating publicly verifiable succinct non-interactive zero-knowledge proofs that a committed document matches or does not match a regular expression. We describe applications such as proving the strength of passwords, the provenance of email despite redactions, the validity of oblivious DNS queries, and the existence of mutations in DNA. Reef supports the Perl Compatible Regular Expression syntax, including wildcards, alternation, ranges, capture groups, Kleene star, negations, and lookarounds. Reef introduces a new type of automata, Skipping Alternating Finite Automata (SAFA), that skips irrelevant parts of a document when producing proofs without undermining soundness, and instantiates SAFA with a lookup argument. Our experimental evaluation confirms that Reef can generate proofs for documents with 32M characters; the proofs are small and cheap to verify (under a second).

169. The last trap you might fall into after school is "getting
ready." Don't get me wrong: learning is your top
priority, but now the fastest way to learn is by doing. If
you have a dream, you can spend a lifetime studying
and planning and getting ready for it. What you
should be doing is getting started.
170. It took me a while to get it, but the hardest-working
people don't work hard because they're disciplined.
They work hard because working on an exciting
problem is fun. So after today, it's not about pushing
yourself; it's about finding your tennis ball, the thing
that pulls you. It might take a while, but until you find
it, keep listening for that little voice.
171. Bill Gates's first company made software for traffic
lights. Steve Jobs's first company made plastic
whistles that let you make free phone calls. Both
failed, but it's hard to imagine they were too upset
about it. That's my favorite thing that changes today.
You no longer carry around a number indicating the
sum of all your mistakes. From now on, failure doesn't
matter: you only have to be right once.
