NASA is constantly collecting new data each day, in a blog post
from 2014 NASA stated that “in the time it took you to read this
sentence, NASA gathered approximately 1.73 gigabytes of data
from our nearly 100 currently active missions!”The data collected
from NASA helps deal with disasters in real time, predict climate
chance, give warnings and provide education as well as many

In America Allegheny Council are planning to use big data to
analyse and anticipate trouble in households before it happens in
order to protect children at a high risk of abuse.The aim is to
create a scoring system that looks at a child’s home life and the
risks that could put them in danger.This is still not in place but the
council hope it will help them to identify at risk children and lower
the number of cases of abuse.
