This document discusses facilitating informal learning in the workplace. It begins by asking why informal learning is needed given trends like newer, more complex equipment and a decreasing experienced workforce. It then discusses assessing reality through questions about equipment, technologies, information access, and learner expectations. The rest of the document focuses on adapting a teaching approach to incorporate both formal and informal learning methods like case studies, discussions and learner participation. It emphasizes the facilitator role in creating an engaging environment, managing group dynamics, and ensuring the group feels ownership over the learning process.
Shewhart developed control charts to distinguish between common cause variation that is inherent in any process, and special cause variation caused by assignable factors. Control charts display process data over time and use statistical limits to detect instances where unusual amounts of variation suggest the process is out of control. Determining whether a process is in or out of statistical control is important for process improvement efforts in Lean Six Sigma.
This document provides an overview of Agile and Scrum concepts. It discusses the Shu-Ha-Ri learning model, which involves first following rules, then bending rules, and finally intuitively knowing what is right. “Using Simulations to Train Future Project Leaders at NASA” By Lawrence Suda-...SeriousGamesAssoc
Lawrence Suda speaks about “Using Simulations to Train Future Project Leaders at NASA” at Serious Play Conference 2012
ABSTRACT:
The essential message of this presentation is about training future project managers at NASA and about project team behavior: how the simulation technology behaves, how people behave and how the simulation and people behave, and sometimes misbehave, together.
Ultimately the real test of the people on the project is not so much what they know; it’s what they do with their knowledge. Making a decision is not the same as implementing it. Knowledge, insight and project wisdom are needed to fully execute a successful project.

Understanding User Needs and Satisfying ThemAggregage
https://www.productmanagementtoday.com/frs/26903918/understanding-user-needs-and-satisfying-them
We know we want to create products which our customers find to be valuable. Whether we label it as customer-centric or product-led depends on how long we've been doing product management. There are three challenges we face when doing this. The obvious challenge is figuring out what our users need; the non-obvious challenges are in creating a shared understanding of those needs and in sensing if what we're doing is meeting those needs.
In this webinar, we won't focus on the research methods for discovering user-needs. We will focus on synthesis of the needs we discover, communication and alignment tools, and how we operationalize addressing those needs.
Industry expert Scott Sehlhorst will:
• Introduce a taxonomy for user goals with real world examples
• Present the Onion Diagram, a tool for contextualizing task-level goals
• Illustrate how customer journey maps capture activity-level and task-level goals
• Demonstrate the best approach to selection and prioritization of user-goals to address
• Highlight the crucial benchmarks, observable changes, in ensuring fulfillment of customer needs
