I think English is of paramount importance for those who are eager to be successful in both their
personal life and career. I believe that English will also play an important part in my future life.
First of all, young people of nowadays are lucky to have an opportunity to study in foreign countries.
Personally, I would like to take this chance too. Studying abroad will have lots of advantages for me.
It will help me to become more mature, solve some problems on my own when I am in an uncertain
situation. Moreover, the today’s employers appreciate a lot the fact that their employees had some
experience of studying abroad.
Secondly, I am a very sociable person and want to see my planet, not only my country, more safe
and peaceful place. Whenever I find myself in a new country, I always try to make friends. I am
sure, the closer we are, the friendlier our world is. Nowadays English is the language which can
unite us, express our feelings and emotions.
While reading one article I came across some nice words. The author said: “Talk to people in their
own language. If you do it well, they’ll say: God, he said exactly what I was thinking”. I can’t but
agree with these words. When we communicate using one language, it will be easier for us to find
solutions for many problems and make our planet a much better place to live.
Lastly, everybody knows that English is the language of commerce, business and mass media. This
language is a mother tongue for millions of people, while others learn it as their second language.
Shakespeare would be surprised to learn these facts because English was spoken only in England in
the 16-th century. The history of the English language is a truly success story. One proverb says:
“Those who have knowledge, own the world”. Without any doubt I can say that to rule the today’s
world, you have to know English.
Taking everything into account, I am strongly convinced that English reflects the soul, behavior and
temperament of all nations. Learn English, this wonderful language, so that you can find your place
in this world.
