Samurai are very important in Japanese society A warrior had 3 main items to attack and defend themselves; swords, armor  and bows.  The  weapons depended on their ranking.
A samurai’s most prized possession Was a symbol of a warriors power and position in society “ Samurai slept with his sword under his pillow, if he lost his sword, he lost his honor” A samurai’s sword weighs less than 3 pounds and in the sword there are over twelve folds of metal.
