4. Because you say so, I will let down the nets (Luke 5:5) I will send you out to fish for people (Matthew 4:19) Throw out your line. Take the first fish you catch; open its mouth and you will find a four-drachma coin (Matthew 1727) Jesus got into a boat with his disciples. As they sailed, he fell.A squall came down on the lake, so that the boat was being swamped, and they were in great dange (Luke 8:22-25) Simon Peter told them: I'm going out to fish. They said: We'll go with you. So they went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing (John 21:3)

7. HE TRUSTED IN HIMSELF But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, "Lord, save me!" (Matthew 14:30) Then Simon Peter, who had a sword, drew it and struck the high priest's servant, cutting off his right ear. (The servant's name was Malchus) (John 18:10) Then he [Jesus] returned to his disciples and found them sleeping, "Couldn't you men keep watch with me for one hour?", he asked Peter (Matthew 26:40)

He addressed the crowd at Pentecost (Acts 2:14-42) He defended his faith before the Council (Acts 4:1-22) When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus (Acts 4:13) His authority was recognized, becoming one of the three pillars of Jerusalem’s church (Galatians 2:9)

PETER'S TESTIMONY To the elders among you, I appeal as a fellow elder and a witness of Christ's sufferings who also will share in the glory to be revealed: Be shepherds of God's flock that is under your care, watching over them—not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not pursuing dishonest gain, but eager to serve (1 Peter 5:1-2) Simon Peter, a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who through the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ have received a faith as precious as ours (2 Peter 1:1)

13. So I will always remind you of these things, even though you know them and are firmly established in the truth you now have. I think it is right to refresh your memory as long as I live in the tent of this body, because I know that I will soon put it aside, as our Lord Jesus Christ has made clear to me. He received honor and glory from God the Father when the voice came to him from the Majestic Glory, saying, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased." SOME ADVICES FROM PASTOR PETER But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light (1 Peter 2:9) Just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do (1 Peter 1:15) Show proper respect to everyone, love your fellow believers, fear God, honor the emperor (1 Peter 2:17) Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight (1 Peter 3:3-4)

15. Finally, all of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble. Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing (1 Peter, 3: 8-9) The end of all things is near. Therefore be alert and of sober mind so that you may pray. Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins (1 Peter, 4: 7-8) The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness.
