Jeremiah 8:20 ...The harvest is past, the summer
has ended, and we are not saved.
John 3:16 ...For God so loved the world that he
gave his one and only Son, that whoever
believes in him shall not perish but have eternalbelieves in him shall not perish but have eternal
life.
John 12:47 ...For I did not come to judge the
world, but to save the world.
2 Peter 3:9 ...Instead he is patient with you, not

All together, we may define God’s love as:
“His self-giving affection for His image-
bearing creatures, and His unselfish
concern for their well-being, that leads
Him to act on their behalf and for their
happiness and welfare”

Resolving the Tension between
God’s Loving nature and God’s Holy nature
The true solution is found in the unique reality that lies at the
heart of Christianity and separates it from all the religions and
philosophies of the world:philosophies of the world:
Moved by His love towards sinners, God Himself became
incarnate (in person, in the flesh) in Jesus of Nazareth for the
very purpose of becoming the object of His own wrath
deserved by sinners, in the place of sinners, so that He could
save sinners and still be true to His holy nature.

1 Peter 4:17 For it is time for judgment to begin
with God’s household; and if it begins with us,
what will the outcome be for those who do not
obey the gospel of God?
