How do prophecies about the return of Jesus Christ fit into the daily lives of Christians? Indeed, does interest in such notions simply distract us from our central mission: preaching the gospel and making disciples? I would like to explore essential elements about prophecy that will suggest that looking for Christ's return belongs in the very center of our daily lives.

Nadab and Abihu, sons of Aaron the priest, offered unauthorized fire before the Lord in the burning of incense. As a result, fire came out from the Lord and consumed them, killing them. Moses then told Aaron that God had said "Among those who are near me I will be sanctified, and before all the people I will be glorified." The document discusses how God punishes disobedience immediately and will punish at the final judgment. It emphasizes the importance of worshipping in a way authorized by God and sanctifying oneself to glorify God.
This document defines evangelism and the role of evangelists. It discusses how Jesus gave gifts to the church, including evangelists, to equip believers and bring unity in Christ. All believers are called to preach the gospel and share their faith like Jesus and the early evangelists did. The gospel message is of peace through Jesus' reconciling work on the cross. Believers each have talents given by God and a role to play in fulfilling the Great Commission to preach to all nations.

The document summarizes Pentecost and the coming of the Holy Spirit as described in Acts chapters 1-2. It discusses how Jesus told the disciples to wait in Jerusalem for the Holy Spirit to come and empower them. On the day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit fell upon the disciples as tongues of fire, allowing them to speak in other languages. About 3,000 people responded to Peter's message and were baptized. The receiving of the Holy Spirit fulfilled Jesus' promise and allowed the disciples to be powerful witnesses for Christ.
The document is a slide presentation on the biblical book of Ecclesiastes. It contains various passages from Ecclesiastes and other books of the Bible that discuss themes of wisdom, the futility of life, and remembering God. The final slides conclude that people should fear God and keep his commandments, as everyone will be judged by God for their deeds.
Bible Truths - Prophecy of Daniel and Revelation - The Unchangeable Law #6 - Are the Ten Commandments important and relevant today? What is the purpose of God's law? Were they done away with after Jesus came? Is the law eternal or has it changed? We are not under the law but under grace, but does that mean we have the freedom to break the law? The day is coming when laws will be passed regarding worship which goes against God's laws. Those who pass the laws will believe what they are doing is right and biblical. We need to know the difference between God's laws and man's laws.

A prophet from Judah prophesied against Jeroboam's altar and was invited by the king to eat with him, but refused due to God's command. An old prophet from Bethel lied and said God told him to bring the prophet back, who then ate with him and was killed by a lion on his way home as judgment for disobeying God's command. The story teaches that we must obey God rather than men and will all give an account to God for our actions.

This document provides an introduction and overview to the Sermon on the Mount given by Jesus Christ as recorded in Matthew 5-7. It discusses the context and purpose of the Sermon on the Mount, noting that while it outlines an ethical standard, it does not provide the means or power to achieve it. The Sermon on the Mount lifts the Mosaic Law to an even higher standard and reveals mankind's inability to attain righteousness through works. It is meant to convict people of their sin and need for salvation through faith in Jesus Christ.
This document discusses the importance of authority in religious teachings and obedience. It summarizes Jesus' confrontation with religious authorities who questioned his authority, noting he received authority from God. The document argues that religious teachings must have authority from God, not just human leaders, and believers should obey God over human commands. It provides biblical examples of teachings from God that believers must follow regarding morality, sexuality, and using their bodies for righteousness.
1) The document provides background information on the book of 1 John, including its author (John), purpose of writing (so readers may have full joy and not sin), and key themes (perseverance of the saints, nature of sin, sons of God).
2) It examines several passages in depth, explaining theological concepts like the neuter usage regarding Jesus, distinction between singular and plural references to sin, and definition of sin involving transgression of Mosaic law.
3) Passages about seeing God, deception, and idolatry are discussed in the context of warnings for believers during the end times tribulation period concerning taking the mark of the beast or swearing oaths to the antichrist.
Christ learned obedience through suffering. Suffering produces perseverance and leads to an eternal glory that outweighs temporary hardships. While suffering, Job maintained his faith in God despite losing his family and possessions, and his example is one Christians can learn from. Suffering is common to humanity, but God promises to never abandon those who are His and to use hardship to draw people nearer to Himself.
Bible Truths - Prophecy of Daniel and Revelation - The River of Life #11 - This presentation is about how to get a new beginning in life and how to be clean before God. It begins with the story of Naaman, the leper who was healed when he washed in the Jordan. We too have the disease of sin and need cleansing. Baptism is a sign that we are humbling ourselves, obeying God, and having sin washed away. Christ has given us an example and we ought to follow Him.

The document discusses the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ according to Christian scripture. It provides numerous Bible verses describing how Jesus died by crucifixion, was buried in a tomb, and rose from the dead on the third day, as prophesied. The resurrection is presented as proof that Jesus is the son of God and savior of mankind from sin. The document emphasizes the atoning sacrifice of Jesus' death and importance of faith in his resurrection for salvation.
The document contains several Bible passages about prayer, devotion to prayer, and the importance of prayer. It highlights that early Christians were devoted to prayer, prayer should be made for all people including those in authority, and that prayer is essential but must be done with the right heart and intentions to be effective and heard by God.

God tells Jonah to preach to the people of Nineveh about impending judgment. However, Jonah does not want to warn his enemies and instead runs away. After being in the belly of a large fish, Jonah obeys and preaches in Nineveh. The people repent at his message. Later, God uses the example of a plant to teach Jonah that he should care for people, not just himself, and that God cares for all people, even Jonah's enemies.

It details how they met, married, and had children while he was involved in criminal activities. When he went to prison, she faithfully visited him every weekend and prayed for him. Despite threats from law enforcement, he refused to testify against associates. Inspired by her devoutly religious mother's belief in forgiveness and transformation, Cammy supported Michael with love and prayer.

It provides various perspectives on how Ecclesiastes speaks to the disappointment people feel with life and how the only meaningful response is to live day by day fearing God and cherishing life's gifts. It also discusses how Ecclesiastes teaches that without God, pursuits of knowledge, pleasure and wisdom will not bring fulfillment, and one must honor God with all aspects of life.

The document discusses the story of King Manasseh of Judah, the son of the righteous King Hezekiah. Manasseh initially led Judah into sin by worshipping false gods. However, God caused Manasseh to repent after he was taken captive. Manasseh humbled himself and prayed to God, and God forgave him, accepting his repentance. The document notes that God will accept sincere repentance from anyone, no matter how sinful their past, if they humbly turn back to Him.

The document discusses the obligation of Christians to "go" as part of the Great Commission given by Jesus. It explains that Jesus commanded the apostles and early church to go and spread the gospel to all nations. Today, this obligation belongs to all Christians. We should go because Jesus commanded it, we love the truth and souls, and we want to prioritize our faith. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit all want the gospel to be shared with all people. Christians can go in any lawful way using modern technologies. We are to go now and for our whole lives after proper preparation, in order to save as many as possible before death.
1) Paul preached boldly in Lystra and Derbe despite being stoned, encouraging believers to remain strong in their faith through trials.
2) Paul and Barnabas returned to cities where they had previously preached to strengthen and encourage the disciples, reminding them that through tribulations they must enter God's kingdom.
3) They reported to the church that God had opened the door of faith to the Gentiles and that the gospel opens people's hearts when they hear and obey it.
The document discusses the great need for Christians to intensely engage in sharing the gospel with all people. It notes that the world is in sin and people need to hear about Christ to be saved. However, many Christians lack concern, knowledge, courage, faith, and focus to fulfill the Great Commission. Christians must share the gospel to obey Christ's command, show love for others, and be like the early church with zeal for the Lord. Intense engagement will also help avoid God's judgment and bring joy from saving souls. The greatest need of the church is to return to its original evangelistic mission, and of Christians to actively participate in spreading the gospel.
PCI stands for People's Church International. The document discusses what God is building through making disciples. A disciple is someone who loves others as Jesus loved, bears spiritual fruit, and obeys Jesus' teachings even if it requires sacrificing relationships or possessions. God is building the church by using broken sinners as building materials and equipping them through spiritual gifts to strengthen one another and spread the gospel message.
The document discusses pursuing perfection by following Jesus' perfect example of love. It provides several Bible passages that describe how Jesus was sinless and able to understand humanity's weaknesses. His sacrifice allows believers to be presented holy before God. Believers are called to live purely and blamelessly through obeying God's word and showing love for one another as Jesus loved.
https://birminghamchurch.org.uk - Lesson by Roger Frimpong. God is love and God is holy. When a loving God meets sinful humans this love becomes grace. When a holy God meets sinful humans it becomes wrath. God saves us from his holy wrath through Jesus Christ.
April 16 2017- Sunday Resurection - THE THREE GREAT MESSAGES OF THE LORD JESU...Catherine Lirio
The document discusses the three great messages of Jesus's resurrection: 1) The message of new life - that through baptism Christians can walk in newness of life as Christ was raised; 2) The message of eternal life - that through Christ's resurrection believers will spend eternity in heaven; 3) The message of powerful life - that through Christ's resurrection believers can live in victory over struggles through God's power. It concludes by telling the women at the tomb to go tell the disciples of these messages and commands all people to spread the word of the three resurrection messages.
This document provides an overview of Christian discipleship according to the Bible. It discusses how to become a Christian through faith in Jesus Christ and being baptized after hearing the gospel message. The document also addresses erroneous views of salvation, such as believing good works are sufficient or that people are inherently good. The core teachings are that all have sinned, salvation is only through Jesus, and one must hear the gospel, believe, repent of sins, and be baptized to become a Christian disciple.
This document discusses the concept of freedom in Christ from multiple perspectives. It begins by exploring the freedom given to man in Genesis and how man chose to disobey God. It then discusses how righteousness and obedience to God's will leads to life, while disobedience leads to death. Several passages are presented showing how Christ offers deliverance from sin and death and brings true freedom. The document emphasizes that God does not use compulsion in His kingdom, but allows man free will to choose obedience, and that obedience to God may bring persecution from others but true freedom is found only in Christ.
The document discusses the roles of God and humans in making disciples. It emphasizes that Jesus commands believers to make disciples by going, baptizing, and teaching others to obey all of Jesus' commands. While it is God who opens people's eyes, believers must also play an active role by witnessing through both words and deeds, imitating Christ and proclaiming the gospel message. The roles of God and believers are interconnected, with God giving the growth while believers plant and water through their efforts.
1. Obedience to God results in opposition but also releases God's miracles and blessings. When the apostles obeyed God by continuing to preach, they were imprisoned but an angel freed them.
2. True strength comes from obedience to God rather than men. The apostles were willing to obey God over human authorities.
3. To be strong in obedience requires knowing Christ, having faith, and obeying God completely and immediately despite any challenges or tests of obedience.
CHRISTIAN SUPERNATURAL TEACHINGS, BIBLE CLASS LESSONS, GOSPELS BY LEADER OLUMBA OLUMBA OBU, THE SUPERNATURAL TEACHER AND SOLE SPIRITUAL HEAD, BROTHERHOOD OF THE CROSS AND STAR
This document contains excerpts from scripture and outlines discussing the judgment seat of Christ. Some key points:
1) All believers will stand before the judgment seat of Christ to be judged based on their works and receive rewards.
2) There are several crowns or rewards that may be received based on faithfulness and service, such as crowns for righteousness, life, rejoicing, and glory.
3) Believers will be judged on how they lived their life in different areas like treating others, using their talents, generosity, enduring suffering, witnessing to souls, and faithfulness.
4) The judgment aims to evaluate works and distribute rewards rather than condemnation, as salvation has
The document discusses the nature and ministry of the Christian church. It defines the church as being spiritual in nature, with entrance and worship involving a spiritual experience. The church is also described as being both universal, with all believers united as one body, and local, with specific congregations. The main ministries of the church are outlined as teaching, fellowship, worship, and prayer.
The document provides an overview of the key parts and timeline of the New Testament. It discusses:
- The Gospels which describe Jesus' life, teachings and sacrifice. Acts which describes the transformation of the disciples after Jesus' death. Paul's letters to churches and leaders. Other letters by figures like Peter and John. Revelation which ties up the current and future world.
- Jesus fulfilling the law by living a perfect life and enabling followers to fulfill it through their relationship with him based on acknowledging and reciprocating his love and forgiveness.
- Jesus as the perfect savior, leader, and role model and the perfect future after judgment of victory and glory. However, humans continue to be imperfect but strive for
Foundation Stones Intro1: A Spiritual Building's FoundationRick Bruderick
The document provides a summary of the key points about building a strong spiritual foundation according to the Bible:
1. Your spiritual life is likened to building a house, with the choice to build on either a rock foundation representing believing and following Jesus' teachings, or on sand by merely hearing without practicing Jesus' words.
2. The Bible directly lists the elements of a solid spiritual foundation in Hebrews 6:1-3 as including repentance, faith, baptism, laying on of hands, resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment.
3. Building your spiritual house is a lifelong process that determines your eternal reward or loss on Judgment Day.
The document examines evidence from the Bible to determine if Jesus can truly be considered the son of God. It presents several passages that refer to Israelites, David, and others as God's "son" in a metaphorical sense. It also questions the authority and teachings of Paul, who first identified Jesus as the son of God, noting ways in which Paul contradicted the teachings and example of Jesus. The document concludes that the Bible does not confirm Jesus as the literal son of God, and that Christianity embraced the teachings of Paul, who may have been an anti-Christ for distorting earlier monotheistic teachings.
The document discusses the author's religious beliefs, which are based on passages from the Bible. It believes that Jesus Christ is God who came in the flesh to fulfill the salvation plan. It discusses principles like there being one God, the importance of knowing and loving God by understanding his word, and that salvation comes through repentance, baptism in Jesus' name, and receiving the Holy Spirit. It also expresses beliefs around losing salvation, the rapture occurring after the tribulation period, and that Jesus will return visibly to gather the elect.
This document discusses the key characteristics of being a disciple of Jesus Christ. It begins by examining what the Great Commission entails based on Jesus' words in Matthew 28:18-20, which is to make disciples of all nations by baptizing them and teaching them to obey all of Jesus' commands. It then explores how Jesus made disciples by choosing ordinary people and transforming their lives. The rest of the document outlines the essential qualities of a disciple, such as following Jesus above all else, living according to the word of God, bearing spiritual fruit, loving the church, sharing in Jesus' sufferings as well as glory, and seeking God's kingdom first.

It seems that current missionary work requires spending a lot of money, preparing a lot of materials, and traveling to far away places, so that it feels like missionary work. But what was the result they brought back? It's just a lot of photos of activities, fun eating, drinking and some playing games. And then we have to do the same thing next year, never ending. The church once mentioned that a certain missionary would go to the field where she used to work before the end of his life. It seemed that if she had not gone, no one would be willing to go. The reason why these missionary work is so difficult is that no one obeys God’s words, and the Bible is not the main content during missionary work, because in the eyes of those who do not obey God’s words, the Bible is just words and cannot be connected with life, so Reading out God's words is boring because it doesn't have any life experience, so it cannot be connected with human life. I will give a few examples in the hope that this situation can be changed. A375

The Book of Ruth is included in the third division, or the Writings, of the Hebrew Bible. In most Christian canons it is treated as one of the historical books and placed between Judges and 1 Samuel.
