LESSION-02
ONE WHO IS ACTUALLY INTELLIGENT TAKES TO
KRISHNA CONSCIOUSNESS. THEN WHY SOME
INTELLECTUALS DON’T ACCEPT HIM?
This is because their intelligence is misdirected. Only
intelligence without character is very dangerous – for him
and for others also. Such person becomes proud of his
knowledge and does not accept his defeat even if proper
arguments are presented to him.
Learned fools
A devotee is presenting his logic to 3 statisticians to prove
the existence of God. They said, “We 3 are unanimously
against you. So it is 3 against 1. Therefore you lose and
there is no God.”Then the devotee prays for God’s
intervention. Hearing the prayers of the devotee, God
appears in sky and says, “I am God and My devotee is

2. right.” Devotee looks at the logicians with triumphant
face. But the logicians tell him that “it is still 3 against 2.”
MORAL: This is the position of atheists. Even when they
are defeated by sound logic, stillthey will say God does
not exist.
Misguided intelligence
One scientist was traveling on a road in a dark night
looking at the stars. He is calculatingin his mind the
different positions and orbits of the stars. While he is
doing that, he falls in a ditch. One spiritualist happensto
see him and pulls him out of the ditch and says: “My dear
friend. You should learn a lesson from this. Even if you
don’t calculatestar’s orbits, they will still be going in
their determined orbits. But you should betterwatch
where YOU are going. Let the stars go by their own way,
and you betterlook properlyat your own way.”
MORAL: People who call themselves as scientistsare
busy calculating orbits of the planetsand discovering
laws of universe. But they hardly know of their own soul –
Who am I and why am I in this world? Unless we inquire
about thismost importantquestion, all our researchwork
is ultimatelya defeat. We can’t just keep God away and
studyHis creation.

3. Lord Jesus Christ also says: What profited a man who
gains the whole world but suffers the loss of the soul?
