Definition: Innovation in Business 	Innovation is the tangible and intentional result (product, service or business model) from which an enterprise derives value that is new to the company, industry or the world. The purpose of innovation is value – bringing it into being is the process of innovation.

Emphasis in Pedagogy Ages 2-7 Ages 3-9 Competence Creativity Convergence Collaboration Ages 5-12 Ages 10-17
Competence Students must have the skills to communicate their ideas and points of view.  Reading, writing, problem solving, and self expression are essential. These skills are necessary to ensure successful participation in all aspects of life.
Creativity Creativity is based on self expression. It enables students to generate and extend ideas, to suggest hypotheses, to apply imagination and to look for alternative innovative outcomes. Students must be given the opportunity to express themselves using different forms, including art, dance, music and film.
Collaboration Collaboration is when individuals share information and points of view to solve problems and define new ideas. Collaboration requires a respect for diversity of culture, experience and thinking styles.
Convergence Convergence is achieved when deep expertise and points of view are brought to bear on complex problems and opportunities. Convergence process is enabled by skill developed in the other three C’s.
