Increasing technology development and better life standards of the mod-
ern society demand more stable, top quality electricity. In meeting these
demands the high voltage industry has been adding new technology to its
equipment in order to maximize its efficiency. This is often the only option
available as it is not always possible to add more power plants or transmis-
sion lines especially in populated areas where the need for more power is
perhaps the greatest.
One of those new technologies implemented in the modern power system
is the Phasor Measurement Unit (PMU). In general the main purpose of
the PMU is to synchronize measurements at different locations in the power
grid by using the GPS technology. This technology is called Wide Area
Measurement System (WAMS).
Development of the PMU is well on its way in several countries, e.g. in
USA they have developed technology called Wide–Area Stability and Volt-
age Control System (WACS), where they can receive and analyze measure-
ment data live [7]. An obvious advantage of that is the ability to foresee
a fault and thus the capability to take the necessary measures to minimize
the fault’s effect on the system or even stop the fault from occurring.
This document provides an overview of how to use Atoll software to model UMTS networks. It covers installing the software, importing network data like site locations and RF parameters, setting the propagation model, calculating coverage predictions, simulating traffic, and analyzing results. The document contains 11 sections that describe these processes in detail with screenshots and examples.
Soft x3000 operation manual configuration guide. Part replacement is risky. Before the operation, you must estimate whether the risk can
be controlled with some technical protection measures without powering off the
equipment. If so, you can carry out the replacement; if not, contact the regional office of
Huawei immediately for technical support. After taking corresponding protection measures, you can carry out the replacement
operations by following the procedures stipulated in this manual, for example, pulling
out a board, inserting a board, or setting dual-inline package (DIP) switches of a board.
To make sure the security, only professionals who have been trained can replace the
parts which can be replaced only when the back door of the cabinet is open, because
the power distribution box and service frames are with -48V power terminals.
Notes on Equipment Security
Do not pull out two or more than two UPWRs in one frame simultaneously; otherwise,
the running UPWRs in the frame will be overloaded or even burnt.
Never insert UPWRs of different types into the same frame. The UPWR has two types:
a and b. If the UPWRs of different types are inserted in one frame, the current supplied
by various UPWRs is not even, and the UPWR supplying more current will be
overloaded or even burnt.
Complete the replacement of a fan box within five minutes; otherwise, the security and
normal operation of the corresponding service frame will be greatly affected.

The document outlines the steps for conducting frequency distribution, cross-tabulation, and hypothesis testing analyses. It discusses measuring location, variability, and shape in frequency distributions. Cross-tabulation involves analyzing two or more variables simultaneously through tables. Hypothesis testing follows general steps including formulating hypotheses, selecting a test, determining significance levels, collecting data, and making conclusions.
Statistics are used in many areas of daily life including business, agriculture, forestry, education, ecological studies, medical studies, sports, and computer science. Some examples include using statistics to measure business performance, understand customer data, compare crop yields over time in agriculture, track changes in forest areas and species populations, analyze education spending and enrollment trends, study the impacts of pollution and more. Statistics help with data analysis, prediction, and drawing conclusions across various domains.
1. The document discusses linear algebra and systems of linear equations. It introduces matrices as a way to organize and represent systems of linear equations.
2. It defines what makes an equation linear versus nonlinear and explains that a solution to a system of linear equations assigns values to the variables that satisfy all equations simultaneously.
3. Gaussian elimination is introduced as a method for putting a system of linear equations into row-echelon form through elementary row operations on the corresponding augmented matrix.
- Sampling distribution describes the distribution of sample statistics like means or proportions drawn from a population. It allows making statistical inferences about the population.
- The central limit theorem states that sampling distributions of sample means will be approximately normally distributed regardless of the population distribution, if the sample size is large.
- Standard error measures the amount of variability in values of a sample statistic across different samples. It is used to construct confidence intervals for population parameters.
La visualisation est un élément important de la compréhension et de la (re)présentation des données dans les (data) sciences. Elle repose sur des principes et des outils que Christophe Bontemps (Toulouse School of Economics) décryptera à la lumière de son expérience et de ses lectures.
The document discusses different types of food and beverage service. It begins by describing the food and beverage industry and its expansion to serve over 100 million meals per day across various sectors like hotels, restaurants, hospitals, and transportation. It then explains that the main goal of the industry is customer satisfaction by meeting physiological, economic, social, psychological, and convenience needs. The rest of the document outlines five main categories of service types - table service, assisted service, self-service, single point service, and specialized service - and provides examples of specific services that fall under each category.
This document defines and provides examples for calculating the mean, median, mode, and range of a data set. It explains that the mean is calculated by adding all values and dividing by the number of values, the median involves ordering values and selecting the middle one, the mode is the most frequent value, and the range is the difference between the highest and lowest values. Examples are given for each statistical measure.
This document discusses several definitions of economics provided by prominent economists over time. It begins by summarizing Adam Smith's definition from 1776 that viewed economics as the science of wealth. It then discusses Alfred Marshall's 1890 definition that considered economics the study of mankind in business. Next, it outlines Lionel Robbins' 1932 definition that defined economics as studying human behavior related to scarce means and alternative uses. Finally, it provides Paul Samuelson's modern definition from 1948 that viewed economics as concerning how society employs its resources. The document then briefly discusses the main divisions of economics as consumption, production, exchange, distribution, and public finance.
1. The document discusses basic concepts in probability and statistics, including sample spaces, events, probability distributions, and random variables.
2. Key concepts are explained such as independent and conditional probability, Bayes' theorem, and common probability distributions like the uniform and normal distributions.
3. Statistical analysis methods are introduced including how to estimate the mean and variance from samples from a distribution.
Mean, Median, Mode: Measures of Central Tendency Jan Nah
There are three common measures of central tendency: mean, median, and mode. The mean is the average value found by dividing the sum of all values by the total number of values. The median is the middle value when values are arranged from lowest to highest. The mode is the value that occurs most frequently. Each measure provides a single number to represent the central or typical value in a data set.

HCL Notes and Domino License Cost Reduction in the World of DLAUpanagenda
Webinar Recording: https://www.panagenda.com/webinars/hcl-notes-and-domino-license-cost-reduction-in-the-world-of-dlau/
The introduction of DLAU and the CCB & CCX licensing model caused quite a stir in the HCL community. As a Notes and Domino customer, you may have faced challenges with unexpected user counts and license costs. You probably have questions on how this new licensing approach works and how to benefit from it. Most importantly, you likely have budget constraints and want to save money where possible. Don’t worry, we can help with all of this!
We’ll show you how to fix common misconfigurations that cause higher-than-expected user counts, and how to identify accounts which you can deactivate to save money. There are also frequent patterns that can cause unnecessary cost, like using a person document instead of a mail-in for shared mailboxes. We’ll provide examples and solutions for those as well. And naturally we’ll explain the new licensing model.
Join HCL Ambassador Marc Thomas in this webinar with a special guest appearance from Franz Walder. It will give you the tools and know-how to stay on top of what is going on with Domino licensing. You will be able lower your cost through an optimized configuration and keep it low going forward.
These topics will be covered
- Reducing license cost by finding and fixing misconfigurations and superfluous accounts
- How do CCB and CCX licenses really work?
- Understanding the DLAU tool and how to best utilize it
- Tips for common problem areas, like team mailboxes, functional/test users, etc
- Practical examples and best practices to implement right away
