This document discusses optional vouchers in accounting. Optional vouchers are non-accounting vouchers that do not affect ledger accounts. Any voucher type can be marked as optional using Ctrl+L while entering the voucher. Optional vouchers are stored separately and can be activated from the Features menu in Tally by setting the option for reversing and optional vouchers to Yes. The document provides instructions for creating and activating optional vouchers.

2. OPTIONAL
VOUCHER
Optional voucher is another non-
accounting voucher. Unlike, ‘Reversing
Journal’ and ‘Memo’ vouchers, optional
voucher is a not a Voucher Type by itself.
Any of the ‘Voucher Types’ can be marked
as Optional.
 At the time of entering a voucher, it
can be marked as ‘optional’, by using the
Ctrl+L key. This voucher will not affect
ledger accounts. It is stored in a separate
place called List of All Optional Vouchers.
 Optional Vouchers can be activated
from ‘F11 : Features’. From Gateway of
Tally  use the F11 : Features key to bring
up the Company Features sub-menu 
Select Accounting Features  and set the
option Use Reversing & Optional Vouchers
