Organization
 Petroleum India International (PII) is a consortium of top megastate-owned
corporates in the petroleum and petrochemicals industry in India formed in
1986 under the aegis of the Government of India, Ministry of Petroleum and
Natural Gas, with an annual turnover exceeding US$30 billion.
 PII has access to over 40,000 practicing experts, who can be deputed
through PII on assignment to overseas projects, bringing to the table a
hands-on approach to solutions and recommendations.

Objective
 The Government of India has set up PII as a single
window organization to render technical, managerial
and human resource development (HRD) services in
the upstream as well as downstream sector on a
global basis.

leading player in at least one sub-domain and contributes unique
strengths, specialized knowledge, world class talent and decades of
valuable experience.

Sharp Technology of US & PII to form U.S-based
joint venture
 Sharp Technology Inc. and Petroleum India International, have inked a deal to form a U.S.-
based information technology joint venture
 To establish an IT partnership to provide software development and project management
services to Fortune 500 companies in the United States.
 For nearly two years, Sharp and PII have worked in tandem to develop Internet
technologies for Sharp in connection with its marketing arrangements with Qwest and US
West
 The companies intend to expand the scope of their joint offerings to include a full range of
Internet and intranet software development, process engineering and management
information systems to third-party customers.
Recent Activities
 PII have for instance, 70 engineers permanently stationed with the
Kuwait National Petroleum Company,"
 In Oman, PII recently conducted two seminars on turnaround
maintenance for the Oman refinery and also deputed some experts
in this area.
 The PII had, also sent a few experts to the Abu Dhabi National Oil
Company.
