3. Describe the problem statement (200 words)
Health history standardization is a major problem in India. Reputed hospitals may have standardized
health records, but this is not the case for everyone. This lack of standardization creates problems
for patients, doctors, and hospital administration.
Patients have to keep all of their documents with them whenever they change their place or doctor,
which can be difficult and time-consuming. Doctors have to interpret a large amount of information
in a short amount of time, which can lead to errors in diagnosis.
This lack of standardization also makes it difficult for the government to track the prevalence of
diseases and other health conditions in India. This data is essential for developing public health
policy and for allocating resources to the most needed areas. During Covid-19 we may have saved
more lives if we had such a system from where we have access to the health history of our
population.
Also in the case of sudden accidents, if doctors can access the health history and get AI-based
recommendations and interpretations it would save a lot of time which can save lives.
4. Proposed strategy / Business solution (200 words)
Competitive landscape and uniqueness of the proposed solution
(150 words)
Our proposed strategy is to develop a centralized public-private sector portal
for health history standardization in India. We believe that this is the best way
to solve the problem of health record fragmentation and to improve the
quality and efficiency of healthcare delivery in India. Our portal would be
accessible to all patients and doctors in India. Patients would be able to
register for the portal using their Aadhaar number and store their complete
health history, including medical records, prescriptions, and lab results.
Doctors would be able to access patients' health records with their consent,
which would help them to provide better care. We believe that our solution
has the potential to revolutionize the healthcare system in India. We are
committed to working with the government, the healthcare industry, and the
people of India to make this a reality.
We would also work with hospitals and healthcare organizations to
encourage them to adopt our portal for their patients. We would
provide hospitals with a number of benefits, including:
1. The ability to reach more patients and retain them by giving better
experience and facilities through our portal. It will avoid hassles for
the patients and doctors.
2. The ability to reduce the amount of time and resources spent on
managing paper-based health records.
3. The ability to collect data on patient health trends, which could be
used to improve hospital operations and to develop new products
and services.
There are a number of private sector portals that offer health history
management services. However, these portals are typically expensive and only
accessible to users who are willing to pay a subscription fee. Our portal would
be free and accessible to all patients and doctors. We would also be the first
centralized public-private sector portal for health history standardization in
India.
This would give us a number of advantages over our competitors,
including:
1. We would have the support of the government, which would help us
to promote the portal and to ensure that it is widely adopted.
2. We would have access to a large pool of data, which would allow us
to develop new features and services that are tailored to the needs of
patients and doctors in India.
5. Go-to market plan and revenue model (150 words)
Impact & Benefits (150 words)
We would partner with the government to promote the portal to patients and doctors. We would also work with hospitals and healthcare
organizations to encourage them to adopt the portal for their patients. We would generate revenue from a number of sources, including:
An annual fee charged to hospitals for using the platform.
Advertising and sponsorships from pharma companies, health-conscious brands and others
Government subsidies.
Our portal would have a number of positive impacts on India's healthcare system. It would:
1. Make it easier for patients to access their health records and to get the care they need.
2. Help doctors to provide better care by giving them access to patients' complete health history.
3. Improve the efficiency of hospital administration by reducing the amount of time and resources spent on managing paper-based health records.
4. Help the government to track the prevalence of diseases and other health conditions in India. This data could be used to improve public health policy
and to develop new treatments and cures.
We believe that our portal has the potential to revolutionize the way that healthcare is delivered in India.
