Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak were early pioneers in personal computing and founded Apple Computers in 1976. They created the first Apple computer, the Apple 1, which was sold through a local computer shop. The second computer, the Apple 2, had improvements like a floppy disk and a better screen display. It helped Apple become commercially successful and be featured on the first magazine cover. Apple drew inspiration from Xerox PARC and created innovations like the computer mouse. The company has since expanded into popular consumer products like the iPod, iPad, MacBook and is now headquartered in Silicon Valley, California.
