Divergent Archetypes
Two literary works that have similar archetypal meanings are Veronica Roth's fictional story
Divergent and George Lucas's written film Star Wars. The plot of Divergent is based on a post–
apocalyptic society and focuses on Tris (formally known as Beatrice) who explores her identity
within a society that defines its citizens by their social and personality. Star Wars is an epic space
opera. The Galactic Empire is nearing his achievement to ending the Death Star, a space station with
the power to destroy all planets. Emperor Palpatine plans to use this weapon to enforce his control
over the galaxy and destroy the Rebel Alliance. Near the orbit of a desert planet Tatooine, a rebel
ship escorts Princess Leia Organa, a member of the rebellion, who in fact aims to use stolen Death
Star plans to help the rebellion find a way to destroy the Death Star.
Though from distinctive dimensions, Star Wars and Divergent use color archetypes to help ... Show

In a galaxy far far away, in a time long long ago there was a civil war going on between the Imperial
Senate and The Rebels. Princess Leia, a member and leader of The Rebels, was aboard her ship
when it was attacked by the Imperial Senate. The ship was searched and she was taken as a captive.
They imprisoned her because she got a hold of blueprints of the Death Star, a ship that the Imperial
Senate made and is capable of destroying a planet, so they wanted her to tell them where she hid it.
Fortunately, before The Princess got captured, she hid the plans in her droid R2–D2 and sent him off
in a little ship with his closest companion C–3PO on a mission to find Obi–Wan Kenobi and give
him the plans.

Luke's turn came and he heard Obi–Wan telling him to use the force, so he did. Luke turned off his

saved his hind. Luke fired and made it and the Death Star was destroyed. Back on the Planet, Han

The Synthesis Of Apomorphine Was Historically Accomplished...
Introduction: Apomorphine has been used as far back as 2000 BC. In 2000 BC the Mayan's noticed
that the bulb and root of water lilies gave a narcotic feeling, as well as acted as an aphrodisiac and
partial hallucinogen.1 Apomorphine belongs to a class of molecules called aporphines which are
present in water lilies, more specifically in Nymphaea caerulea and Nymphaea ampla.1 While mild
effects were shown in parts of water lilies, scientists wanted to know what exactly caused these
effects. The compounds were isolated and tested to determine that apomorphine was the most active
ingredient. The concentration of apomorphine was so low in the plants that isolation was impractical
so a synthesis was designed to investigate the properties of apomorphine further; leading to
apomorphine being used for Parkinson's disease, erectile dysfunction, and most recently Alzheimer
disease.
Synthesis2: The synthesis of apomorphine was historically accomplished by an acid–catalyzed
rearrangement of morphine. This method typically had low and varying yields: anywhere from 0.6%
to 46% yield. In 2008, a new synthesis was patented that shown yields as high as 55% to 70% yield.
This new synthesis, scheme 1, uses phosphoric acid as the catalyst and phosphorus pentoxide as a
water scavenger–water is the by–product of the reaction and the phosphorus pentoxide irreversibly
binds to the water. The solution would then be heated to 90–100℃ in an inert atmosphere for two
hours.

Luke Skywalker Analysis
Luke Skywalker lives on Tatooine with his Uncle and Aunt as a farmer. His uncle purchases two
droids C–3PO and R2–D2, R2–D2 has a message for Obi–Wan that has the plans for the Death Star.
Luke runs into Obi–Wan and shows him the message. Obi–Wan asks Luke to join him on his
journey and he does. He meets Han Solo and Chewbacca at the Cantina on Mos Eisley. Han Solo
and Chewbacca agree to take Obi–Wan, Luke, and the droids to the Alderan. When they get near
where Alderan is suppose to be they slow down and see that Alderan is destroyed. While they are
being slowed down the Death Star's tractor beam pulls them into the hanger. In order for them to not
be caught they smuggle themselves into the Death Star. The mission at hand is to disable the

Star Wars Episode Vii : The Force Awakens
Have you seen Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens? My project is based on a character
within that movie, and how it works. Meet an adorable droid in the galaxy far, far away: BB–8. The
one droid the evil First Order is looking for, with the map that leads to the last Jedi Master, who can
bring a victory.
However, if you've never heard of Star Wars, you are missing out on a great adventure story! George
Lucas created the first Star Wars movie in 1977 featuring two heroes and a heroine battling an evil
empire, which became a great success. By 1983 the first trilogy was completed, followed by another
set of three prequels between 1999 and 2005. After ten years of "retirement" Star Wars debuted once
again with a seventh movie last year. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The axis of a gyroscope is capable of maintaining balance due to an equilibrium of a spinning wheel
that resists change in direction.
Inside BB–8's spherical body is a circular, weighed "base plate" with omniwheels (omni means
multi). This base plate, which I will call segway, houses a gyroscope which constantly spins with
motor and rechargeable battery, to control the movement of BB–8 during its lifetime. As BB–8 rolls
along the ground, the gyroscope attempts to maintain alignment, specifically to keep its head
towards the top of the body.
From the center of the segway we have a rod as BB–8's "neck" going up, with a servo in the middle,
continuing to the top with a magnet that keeps BB–8's head at the top. The head can tilt because the
inner "neck" can bend. The neck's tilting action is controlled by a servo. A servo is a small device
that looks like a mechanized box with a bendable "arm", much like a remote control joystick. The
servo receives an electrical input signal that changes the angle of the arm. This angle is called the
output. Normally the servo arm is set stationary at 90° (straight up), with a range of 0° to 180°. The
angle of the arm would change based on the input. Because of this, we now know how BB–8's head
tilts. That's why when BB–8's body rolls, the head can tilt yet remains securely on the top of BB–8's
body.
How does its head turn? BB–8's head turns left and right using a rotation motor

Examples Of Archetypes In A New Hope
George Lucas' Star Wars "A New Hope" is an award winning film that graced the silver screen in
1977. Star Wars: A New Hope (New Hope) conforms to Joseph Campbell's Hero's Journey. "George
Lucas was an avid admirer of Joseph Campbell's writings, and used them as a direct reference in his
creation of Star Wars." There is also a great deal of the Jungian framework that presents itself in a
New Hope. A good number of archetypes are present in the film. Some characters are present with
multiple archetypes and personas. While looking for how New Hope fits into the hero's journey it
was interesting to see that more than one character could be viewed as a hero. However, Luke
Skywalker is the obvious hero of New Hope and matches many of the criteria ... Show more content

He symbolically wears white, which is a symbol of purity. He is concerned with doing the right
thing for his aunt and uncle, even though Luke wants to join the academy and be courageous. He is
also notably optimistic while rescuing Leia, another trait of an innocent archetype. Even after his
aunt and uncle are killed, Luke continues to show traits of an innocent, always striving to do the
right thing in an optimistic way. As he gains confidence, Luke gradually conforms to the hero
archetype. There are many instances on his Hero's Journey when he proves his worth through

The Similarities Between Star Wars And Religion
The science–fiction film, Star Wars, has a had a significant impact on modern culture today as it
relates to Greek mythology and religion. The popular film created by George Lucas uses many
symbols to demonstrate the similarities between the movie and culture, such as the Tusken Raiders
and the Nio. Fortunately, Star Wars stays open to all religions, allowing for different interpretations
of all characters. The concepts presented in the movie allow for all viewers to further their
knowledge of religion and understand the past in a more logical way.
A similarity between Star Wars and religion are heralds and R2–D2. A herald was someone who
carried a message, sometimes causing an adventure to begin. In the religion of Christianity, Matthew
was a herald because he shared how Jesus, rejected by Israel, sent the disciples to preach the gospel
to the world. In Star Wars, R2–D2 delivered the message that Princess Leia was in trouble and she
needed help from Obi Wan Kenobi. This lead Luke Skywalker on an adventure to figure out who
Obi Wan Kenobi was and why Princess Leia was in trouble. Therefore, both heralds and R2–D2
represent the messengers needed in order for a quest to unfold.
Another comparison between Star Wars and religion are the Nio and the Tusken Raiders. According
to Japanese tradition, the Nio were a group of guards that protected the Buddhist temples from those
trying to enter. Today, two muscular structures stand in front of some of the Buddhist temples in

The Heroic Quest In Star Wars IV, A New Hope
The Star Wars movie series follows a plot of a heroic quest this plot was made by Joseph Campbell.
He believed that in a hero's quest story the plot needs these aspects, the call to adventure, refusal of
the quest, accepting the call, entering the unknown, supernatural aid, talisman/special offering,
allies/helpers, tests & the supreme ordeal, reward, the journey home, and restoring the world.
George Lucas the creator of the original six said he used this model for the Star Wars series.
Star Wars IV; A New Hope begins with the herald Princess Leia and her ship being captured by
imperial forces. Darth Vader, the commander of this ship, searches for Leia and Leia captured. Leia,
while hiding, places a hologram inside a droid named R2–D2 asking for Obi–Wan Kenobi's help. R2
escapes the ship in one of the pods along with his companion C3PO. The escape pod takes them to a

wants to get revenge. So he accepts the call to adventure. He enters space and the unknown to find
the death star plans on Darth Vader's ship. His supernatural aid is the force flowing through him that
he doesn't know about that Obi–Wan teaches him. He finds out that his allies are Han Solo,

leave. In the end he is rewarded for overcoming his final ordeal and blowing up the Death Star
before it destroys the rebel base. He is rewarded for his bravery and all of the heroes are honored
restoring peace for now. I think that this movie is successful for being based around the hero's

Star Wars takes place a long time ago in a galaxy that is unlike anything modern society could
conceive as being authentic. It exists in a time before Earth was even thought of. At the start of the
movie, a civil war is occurring between the Rebel Alliance and The Galactic Empire. A leader of the
Rebel Alliance, Princess Leia, stole plans from the Galactic Empire (also known as the Imperial
forces) for the Death Star. The Death Star was a very heavily armed space station with weapons
capable of destroying an entire planet. After stealing the plans, Princess Leia sent two droids, R2–
D2 and C–3PO, to the planet Tatooine with a copy of the plans in R2–D2's memory bank. The
droids are then captured and sold to a farming family. The nephew of ... Show more content on

The light side of the force is concerned with doing acts of goodness within the galactic universe of
Star Wars. Followers of the light side of the force "strive to live in harmony with the world around
them, acting out of wisdom and logic, rather than anger and hasty judgment. (JATM)" Several times
in Star Wars (1977), the Jedi Knights are shown meditating. Their meditation was "to clear
themselves of emotion; particularly negative emotions such as aggression, fear, anger and hatred.
(JATM)" Traditionally, the Jedi Knights were responsible for keeping the force in balance. They
achieved this by destroying the dark side of the force. This enabled them to help return the balance
of good and evil, the force, back to its natural state of equilibrium. They shunned the dark side of the
force for it represented corruption and shunned the power of the dark side because it contradicted
the Jedi Knight's role in society. The light side of the force focuses on positive emotions in life.
Much of their emotion aligns with using the force ethically or for achieving good things in life. An
emotion the Jedi Knights steered away from was passion. To them, it was considered dangerous and
could lead a Jedi Knight towards the dark side of the force. The emotion of love is an interesting
topic for both the dark side and light side of the force. Both sides tried to avoid love because it
skewed their emotion. The light side of the force focused on a type of love,

Compare And Contrast Star Wars A New Hope And The Outsiders
Star Wars: A New Hope and The Outsiders are not as different as most might expect. The pair of
stories feature many heroes throughout, focusing on Luke Skywalker and Ponyboy Curtis. Both of
these stories were originally books, before being adapted into movies. The Hero's Journey follows a
narrative pattern that applies to nearly every story line there has ever been. The journey applies to
both Star Wars: A New Hope and The Outsiders. The Outsiders by S. E. Hinton follows a young boy
living in rural Oklahoma, who is part of a gang of teenagers called Greasers. Ponyboy and his
friends are constantly up against the opposing social group, the Socials, creating conflict between
the two groups. Star Wars: A New Hope, directed by George Lucas, is one of the most famous
movies of all time, which centers in on an young adult that ends up on a journey to save Princess
Leia and help the Rebellion fight off the Empire. Despite the contrasting genres of the stories, Luke
Skywalker and Ponyboy Michael Curtis have a similar day–to–day life, have comparable aid from
others, and face challenges that are very much alike.
The Known World that both characters experience is more analogous than some might think, when
comparing an alien planet to rural Oklahoma. The Known World, being the first step in the hero's
journey, allows the audience to get to know the character and understand their personality and
qualities in depth. Luke Skywalker lives with his uncle and aunt, as he always has. Ponyboy

Star Wars: A New Hope
Star Wars episode IV A New Hope portrays the socio–cultural dynamic that the entire galaxy is
essentially constantly changing. Whether it be, from prisoners being taken by the opposing power, a
new recruit for the Rebels against the insurgent empire, to anything such as bribes being performed
essentially "under the table". There lies a very elaborate balance of power between good vs evil. The
film begins as a rebel transport ship with Princess Leia finds itself flying into an area within which
the imperial starship essentially forces the rebels to cede their territory. Imperial forces invading the
rebel transport occurs for two primary reason. Darth Vader wanted to attain the disk to which

Boldly, since Han does not back down much from a challenge, he decides to pursue the enemy
Starfighter and it turns out to not be the right move at all. Because of the fact, that the imperial ship
not putting up a fight against Han Solo was all part of the ploy to drag the Rebel group to the Death
star where in turn the tractor beam from the structure sucked them up like a vacuum cleaner. Once
on board of the death star, after C3PO and R2D2 aid the men in discovering that Princess Leia is on
board, the group splits up in two different directions. The first group consisting of Luke, Han, and
Chewbacca set up a scheme as it looks like they are arresting Chewbacca while dressed as
Stormtroopers in order to gain access to the fifth floor where Leia was being incapacitated. Whereas,
Obi–Wan Kenobi sought to find and disable the machines which were responsible for running the
Death Star's tractor beam system, but however ends up going on an essential wild goose chase. Obi–
Wan's goose chase derives primarily from the fact, that he felt an immense fluctuation within the
force that he had not felt for a while and in turn sought to find out what he perceived as his old
apprentice Anakin Skywalker now Darth Vader who most likely was causing it. Upon completion of

Most of us have an intuition that, although our genes provide advantages and constraints, we retain
great control over our lives. However, we are developing a second, competing intuition that, like it
or not, our genes determine our abilities, our preferences, and our emotions. We would like to think
we are much more than the sum of our genes, but scientists have apparently demonstrated that our
genes determine some of our most complex behavioral and cognitive characteristics.
The focus on genes as the primary mode of biological explanation has been especially clear in the

for manic–depression (in two different places), have both published retractions of their conclusions
(Barron et al. 1993, Kelsoe et al. 1989), unusual and embarrassing events among scientists.
Research in linking genes to complex human mental and behavioral characteristics has been
tremendously successful in molding public opinion, in he absence of much lasting scientific
evidence.
The relationship between a gene and a human behaviour is rarely, if ever, a one–to–one
correspondence, even though disruption of a single gene occasionally has a dramatic effect on
behaviour. Nor can one quantify the contribution of genes as a whole to any particular behavior or
cognitive ability. Instead, each gene is a single player in an intricate story, involving non–additive
interactions of genes, proteins, hormones, food and life experiences, thus leading to effects one
variety of cognitive and behavioural functions. Our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors certainly
have biological mechanisms, but this does not mean we can separate and quantify the genetic
contributions to these processes.

Logic In A New Hope
First, in the film, A New Hope, Princess Leia is dependent on logic and reason. To begin, Leia
displays full logic and reason when Darth Vader boards her diplomatic ship heading for Alderaan,
the home world of Princess Leia. After putting a message in R2–D2, her droid, Leia leaves one of
the rooms aboard the ship and she flees from Stormtroopers, but soon after, a Stormtrooper shoots
her and stuns her, leaving her body inert. They take Leia to Darth Vader, where Leia realizes who
attacks their ship. Leia exemplifies her logic when she inquires to Vader, "The Imperial Senate will
not sit for this, when they hear you've attack[ed] a diplomatic..." (7). Saying those words, she shows

Next, after leaving the Battle of Hoth and escaping into an asteroid field to hide from the Empire,
Leia shows emotion when she follows Han outside in the cave to investigate the creature, which
reveals itself to be a Mynock, even though she knows it could be dangerous. Escaping from the
Battle of Hoth, Han Solo and Princess Leia embark on another journey, but this time without Luke
Skywalker. The Empire chases them from Hoth, but unable to avoid them, Han takes the
Millennium Falcon, his ship, into an asteroid belt. Once they land inside of one of the asteroids, they
begin making repairs to fix the hyperdrive. As Han and Leia make repairs, they start to speak and
Leia says, "I happen to like nice men," and Han replies back, "I'm a nice man," and then Leia begins
to say but does not finish, "No, you're not. You're..." (Lucas The Empire Strikes Back 47). After Leia
says that, Han "kisses her," and this awakens Leia and her heart starting her transformation from full
logic and reason to having emotions. In a few moments, Leia hears something outside and tells Han.
He, then, goes outside to investigate, but Leia tells him, "Are you crazy?!" and then, Leia swiftly
asserts, "Then I'm going with you" (52). Since Leia requests to go with Han outside of the ship, it
emphasizes that Leia establishes feelings towards Han. It shows that, despite knowing something is
outside, she wants to help Han with whatever is lurking outside of the ship and hindering the
repairing process. This is also the first time that Leia uses her emotions rather than using logic and
reason to guide her into the future. George Lucas uses this to show that the catalyst, or the kiss,
awoke Leia from her slumber and brought her emotions with her in the process of being awoken. He
also wants to show that Leia is beginning down a new road because she is undergoing the

Essay on Caffeine Effects In The Brain
Caffeine Effects In The Brain
Caffeine acts in a multitude of ways in the brain. The most recent studies explore the cooperative
effects of adenosine and dopamine, as well as the increase in calcium in the interstitial fluid and
possible accumulation of cyclic adenosine monophospate. The most popular discussions of earlier
studies of caffeine demonstrate its antagonistic effects on adenosine receptors. While it has been
reported that adenosine receptors are located throughout the brain, the various subtypes can be
found in very specific areas.
Studies have also shown that caffeine reactions in the brain are based on the localization of
adenosine receptors, dopamine receptors, and the amount of caffeine. ... Show more content on

(Garrett, 1997; Myers, 1999) According to the
Pacific Nueropsychiatric Institute "caffeine inhibits phosphodiesterase breakdown of cyclie 3',–5'–
adenosine monophosphate. (Pharmacology, caffeine, 2) Again, this occurs only in large quantities
that have yet to be naturally found in vivo. (Myers, 1999) Keep in mind that if cyclic AMP had a
greater than normal concentration in the synaptic cleft, it would continue to breakdown adenosine
which has a depressant effect on functions in the brain. For example, adenosine in the central
nervous system inhibits neurotransmitter release and depresses locomotor activity, however with
higher concentrations of cyclic AMP there is less adenosine so, the effects on the biology of the
brain are an enhanced neurotransmitter release, and stimulated locomotor activity (Garrett, 1997).
Another way caffeine acts on the brain is indirectly through the dopamine receptors. As stated by
Garrett and
Griffiths (1997), "Although caffeine does not bind directly to dopamine receptors a number of
conflicting reports suggest that caffeine can either decrease or increase dopamine release" (p.535).
For example, "Caffeine significantly decreases dihydroxyphenylacetic acid (DOPAC) levels in the
striatum, hypothalamus, and frontal cortex, but increases DOPAC levels in the nucleus accumbens"
(p.535).
Caffeine also is responsible for significant

Brief Summary Of The Anti-Star Wars
The galaxy is in a state of civil war, and spies for the Rebel Alliance have stolen plans to the
Galactic Empire's Death Star, a heavily armed and armored space station capable of destroying
entire planets. Rebel leader Princess Leia is in possession of the plans, but her ship is captured by
Imperial forces under the command of the evil Lord Darth Vader. Before she is captured Leia hides
the plans in the memory of an astromech droid called R2–D2, along with a holographic recording.
The droid, accompanied by fellow protocol droid C–3PO, escape from the captured ship to the
desert planet Tatooine.
The droids are captured by Jawa traders, who sell the pair to moisture farmers Owen and Beru Lars

Case Of Failure Of The Data Nodes
case of failure of the data nodes, the name node knows which data node has failed since that
particular data node will not report back in time to the name node. The name node also knows where
the data that is supplied to the data node has gone redundantly to the other data node. Therefore the
job still goes to completion even though a couple of data nodes fail in the big data processing. Since

IV. METHODOLOGY/ALGORITHM
.
The action rules discovery is done using the LERS algorithm.
Table 2 – Decision System S Let's apply the LERS algorithm for the decision system S in the table
2. In this example the attributes a, b, c are stable. The attributes e, f, g are flexible and the d is
decision attribute. We will get the action rules when the decision attribute changes from d2 to d1.
Step 1: Extract all rules, which imply  d1 that means we should have d1 on the right hand side of
the rule. This should be done using LERS algorithm.
Step 2: Generate r [d2  d1] r1 = [b1  c1  f2  g1]  d1 r1 [d2  d1] = [b1  c1  (f,  f2) 
(g,  g1)]  (d, d2  d1) b1  c1 – stable f2  g1 – flexible (f,  f2) means change f from

Examples Of Hero's Journey In Star Wars
The movie Star Wars is the perfect example of a modern hero's journey. Luke Skywalker wanted to
stay home with his uncle and tend the farm, but C3PO and R2D2 needed help so he went with them
to defeat Darth Vader. In the end Luke defeated Vader's space station and was a savior or hero to
everyone. Although some people may say that Star Wars is not a good example of a hero's journey
because it does not show some part of the hero's journey. I believe that Luke Skywalker is
undertaking the hero's journey process since he undergoes every step including, departure, journey,
and return. To conclude, I believe that Luke Skywalker is the perfect example of a hero.
One reason why Luke Skywalker is the perfect example of a hero comes from one of the ... Show

Luke's journey starts when he is inside the millennium falcon with Han Solo, Chewy, Obi–wan, R2–
D2, and C3–P0. During this event, they soon come to see a planet, which turned out not be a planet,
but to be the Death Star. The Death Star we soon find out is the ship of Darth Vader. Han Solo tries
to turn around but it is too late. They are soon entering the Death Star. When they get inside, they
hear that Princess Leia, the woman from the video message, is trapped in a prison cell and is due to
be executed. This is one of the first obstacles for the team, because now they have to rescue Princess
Leia from her death, but it isn't as hard as they think. Luke and Han Solo come up with the idea to
wear the Storm Trooper uniforms, the uniforms of the "military defense" of the Death Star. Luke is
able to sneak into the cell where Leia is kept, and therefore completes his first obstacle, but there are
many more to come. After rescuing Leia, she then becomes one of his allies, and will help him later
in the movie. The next and probably the most substantial challenge that the group faces is to escape
with the Death Star with the layout of the Death Star inside of R2–D2. While trying to do this they
are all being shot at by Storm Troopers, but they were still able to escape. Well almost all of them.
Obi–wan Kenobi sacrificed himself to Darth Vader so the others could escape the Death Star. This
then leads to the final confrontation, with the outline of the Death Star, Han Solo, Luke Skywalker,
Chewy, C3–PO, R2–D2, and Princess Leia, have to figure out a way to attack the Death Star. Luke
is in an X–Wing Fighter Plane and he makes the last shot, therefore blowing up the Death Star and
everyone inside. In conclusion, Luke Skywalker is the perfect example of a hero because he shows
the second step of the hero's journey

Star Wars Archetypes
The archetypes in Lord of the Rings and Star wars that I have chose for this essay are the Loyal
retainer, The task, and light v.s. Dark. I will do a comparison of each movie with the three
archetypes. In Lord of the Rings the loyal retainer is Samwise Gamgee, and in Star Wars the loyal
retainers are Han Solo, C–3PO and R2–D2. The next archetype is the task. The task in Lord of the
Rings is for Frodo to keep the ring safe and to keep others away who are tempted by it, to use it
against Sauron. The task in Star wars was to save the princess and destroy the death star. The last
archetype is light v.s dark. In Lord of the Rings, light v.s. dark appears when the fellowship tries to
defeat Sauron. Light v.s. Dark in Star wars is when Luke and his ... Show more content on

Dark, light meaning good and dark meaning evil. In The Lord of the Rings, the fellowship
represents the light and Sauron represents the dark. The fellowship represents the light side because
they are in possession of the ring and they have to bring the ring to Mount Doom to destroy it. The
ring will bring on evil and bad situations and if it were to get in the hands of any of the other
members of the fellowship or anyone on Sauron's side then evil would take over and Sauron would
be the new leader. The Dark would of course be Sauron. Sauron is controlling Gollum to try and
take possession of the ring, therefore he is to be around Frodo so that he can take the ring. There is a
good and bad side to Gollum, one side wants to be friends with Frodo and the other side wants to
take the ring and be the holder of the ring and gain the power he used to have. The light and dark in

The effects of Star Wars
BLAM! KACHEW! "Help me Obiwon you're my only hope." The popular franchise known
as Star Wars has been very successful and has been going on for decades. Even today they
are rolling out with a new trilogy of Star Wars movies while we still watch the old classics like
Return of The Jedi or A New Hope. But there is one question that people have been asking;
How could Star Wars influence what people do? Hundreds to thousands of people have asked
this. New ideas for companies, weapons, and new technology have been based on Star Wars.
There have been Star Wars products, like toys or apps and many other profitable companies
based around Star Wars as well as new pop and culture. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
All of these movies and TV shows became very rewarding and profitable.
Furthermore, Star Wars has been a good inspiration for other movie and TV show successes.
A second idea from Charles Q. Choi, Space.com (August 10, 2010) claims that Star Wars
has given people the idea of new Star Wars based technology. He states that the AT–AT and
AT–ST walkers (which are large mechanical vehicles that move on huge metal legs) that are
seen in episodes 5 and 6, helped the inspiration of the invention of robots that move on their
own legs. They were a new step in human technology and could lead to other robots and ideas.
Based on this, Space.com states that Star Wars has helped people gain the idea of new robots
and technology.
Another detail from Anobi Bot in Wikipedia says that Star Wars has revolutionized our way
of making movies. He claims that in the old way of making fantasy movies it was usually a
deep emotional movie or a love story. When the first Star Wars trilogy rolled into the theaters,
Movies suddenly turned from emotional to powerful conflict stories. Then more movies

1.1.1:–Introduction
Hyper–v can create virtual machines on x86–64 systems. A host server running Hyper–V could be
accessed remotely by multiple guest computers .And this guest computer could perform as if they
are using the host server directly. If the application is not available on the guest computer, users on
the guest computers could run applications in the host server remotely.
Hyper–V is a hypervisor–based virtualization solution, which means that the software layer
providing the virtualization support runs directly on the physical system hardware. This

Mulan And Star Wars Comparison
Both Mulan from the Disney movie Mulan and Luke Skywalker from Star Wars episode IV A New
Hope follow a similar heroic journey. There are of course differences including the mentor, the
herald, and the way each character accepts their call to adventure.
Most mentors in stories are believed to be serious, wise and helpful. In Star Wars that mentor is Obi
Wan Kenobi, who helps Luke throughout his journey and trains him to be a Jedi. In the movie
Mulan however, the mentor is a small powerless dragon named Mushu. The most noticeable
difference between the two mentors is the motive and way to train their hero. Mushu was not the
first choice to guard/mentor Mulan, not that he was a choice at all. But after accidentally breaking
the statue of the chosen guardian, he needed to take matters into his own hands to avoid getting
caught. Mushu also saw this as an ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Han Solo Character Analysis
His way of overcoming those obstacles is much more directly than Hamlet. Hamlet's strategy for
obtaining his revenge is much more deceitful, he feints madness. Unlike hamlet Luke is much more

interested in self preservation, at least at first.
Han Solo as Horatio everyone would be lucky to have their own Horatio and Luke just happens to
be lucky. We all have acquaintances, people you know and enjoy but understand that they won't be
there when the going gets tough. That's what Han Solo starts as.That's what separates them from a
friend, when Han meets Luke he's a quick shot smuggler. Through their adventures he becomes a
friend to Luke and whether it's a fight or not they have his back. Much like Horatio. Unlike Horatio
he didn't start that way. That being said few friends will ever reach the level of Horatio. He's not just
willing to fight for you he's willing to die for you, or with you just to make your death easier. The
moment where Han goes from friend to Horatio level status is when Han comes back. Horatio is a

Star Wars The Force Awakens
Star Wars: The Force Farce Awakens
A short time ago, in a studio not so far away...
Disney purchased the Star Wars franchise and set to work producing the most blatantly unoriginal
film they could muster. With characters that are daft and ignorant, coupled with an overcompensated
appeal to minority demographics, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, or more accurately, The Farce
Awakens, proves to be a disgrace to the franchise and science fiction genre alike. Star Wars: The
Farce Awakens copies every aspect of A New Hope, the film's successful predecessor. Each
character and scenario in The Farce Awakens has its New Hope equivalent. A New Hope begins
with Leia giving R2–D2 the Death Star plans. R2–D2 lands on the desert planet Tatooine, where he

Movie Review : Star Wars
Star Wars has become an American classic in pop culture. George Lucas is the brilliant mind behind
the movie who came up with all of what we call now Star Wars. He is the creator of such a brilliant
phenomenon in the pop culture. He could not do this all by himself, there were many people
involved in the production of the movies. An essential factor to the production of the movies is the
music. Lucas decided to give that responsibility to John Williams, a well–known composer, because
he had listen to his outstanding work done to other movies. He was looking for someone with that
particular detail to the classical orchestral music. Williams wrote all the scores for all the Star Wars
Movies. This was a great responsibility, but nothing that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Williams is famous for the use of the leitmotifs which he practiced this in the first trilogy greatly. In
the prequel or second trilogy we see less of the use of leitmotifs, but can still find that connection
between the characters and the music. The romantic themes such as: Leia's theme, Han and Leia's
theme, Luke and Leia's theme, Mother's theme and the Love theme, also known as Across the Stars,
are played throughout the Star Wars saga in different movies and different parts to create that sense
of romanticism and giving that utterly necessary feminine touch. Leia's theme is beautifully
constructed with horns, flutes, violins and winds in between parts of the melody. It is a soft and
sweet mellow that transmits a sense of beauty not only to Princess Leia, but to the song itself. The
theme is first played in Episode IV: A New Hope, the first movie of the trilogy. At first it may be
strange to have this consuming feminine melody being related to Princess Leia. The theme goes
more along the lines of a romantic, vulnerable, and passive woman; to which Princess Leia is the
total opposite to. Princess Leia is an independent, courageous and strong woman that is able to take
care of herself without a Prince Charming. Even though the theme may sound as the contradictory to
her character, the theme can still relate to her. She is the main female character in the first trilogy
and even though she can be seen as a

The Influence of Star Wars in Today´s Culture Essay
Motion Pictures have always had a strong influence in today's culture, but maybe none as prevalent
as Star Wars. Originating with Episode 4 A New Hope, the series boomed from 1977 to 2005 with
yet another addition coming in 2015. The strongest of the series was the original trilogy episodes 4,
5, and 6, all generally released in the 1980s. As one of the strongest film francaises still today, it's
impact within the 1980s was only the tip of the iceberg. Children and adults alike still anticipate the
new edition of this seemingly endless journey. If any singular film series still holds prevalence in its
future decades it is Star Wars: Original Trilogy. Far off in a distant galaxy an infamous story would

Analysis Of The Mighty Ducks D2
Released in 1994, The Mighty Ducks D2, directed by Sam Weisman is a fictional sequel based off
The Mighty Ducks (1992). It is about a youth hockey team, The Mighty Ducks, which are reunited
to represent Team USA in an international competition which takes place in Los Angeles, California.
The main characters are Coach Gordon Bombay played by Emilio Estevez, Charlie Conway played
by Joshua Jackson, as well as all the other members of the team who play pivotal roles in the film.
Mighty Ducks D2 was a film that played a vital role in influencing American born hockey players,
and kids from non–traditional hockey markets to try hockey and ultimately want to represent their
country playing hockey. One of the main contributing factors to the movies success was its
Entertainment value. This is comprised of the hook, action, suspense, and TR sequence. The movie
opened with a tremendous hook starting when former minor league player and coach Gordon
Bombay rounds up all the original members of The Mighty Ducks from various areas and
background to bring them back together to play for Team USA in The Junior Goodwill Games.
Action was heavily exemplified in all their games but emphasized when they competed against the
bigger, stronger, and heavily favorited Team Iceland. They battle in the Championship game was
filled with not only action but suspense, and TR sequences. There were many massive hits, and
penalties. Also, they traded goals making it hard to predict who was going to end up

Drugs And Drug Development Journey
The unlikely route from inflammation to antipsychotics
The drug development journey leading to olanzapine (Zyprexa) reaching the market did not always
follow the steps of rational drug design. Inspired by the first antipsychotic drugs, it took a while
from the first discovery of antipsychotic drugs until Zyprexa was developed. The first antipsychotics
were come across largely by chance. They were not specifically tailored to a relevant biological
effector as rational drug design promotes. Even now as most drugs, Zyprexa is not quite perfect, it is
accused of side effects such as weight gain and diabetes. But it has proven to be a potent medication
for the treatment of schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and today is also widely used for the treatment
of depression (Perlmultter. 2014).
The story of this drug begins in the streets of Paris (and Lyon) in the 1930s, where the pharma–
company Laboratoires Rhône–Poulenc (today Sanofi) noticed that the drugs they were developing
as antihistamines also demonstrated relaxant and sedative effects (Shen ,1999; Healy, 2004). Their
observations and research eventually lead to the synthesis of chlorpromazine in 1950, the first drug
with specific antipsychotic action (Yuhas, 2013).
Chlorpromazine was the first so called typical/first generation antipsychotic drug, introduced to the
market in 1952. The discovery of chlorpromazine is still considered one of the greatest
breakthroughs in psychiatric care, and was the first drug in its class

The objective of this lab is to be able to understand how the CPU functions work, as well as
understanding machine and assembly language.
Results:
What I found out is that after doing the lab is that there are three cycles that the CPU goes through
in order for the program to be executed. I was able to come up with small programs for 2a and 3b
that will execute according to the instructions given in the lab, which is shown below.
Conclusions:
I thought this lab was really awesome because I was able to construct a machine language program
in binary code, as well as being able to put together a short assembly language program. What I
have implemented from this lab is that the Central Processing Unit (CPU) is able to fetch, decode,

There are three cycles that the CPU goes through in the animation of Lecture 1:
Fetch Cycle: CPU reads an instruction from the memory
Decode Cycle: CPU breaks the patterns into two parts (first three bits are place in the OPR, while
the last 5 bits are place in the ADDR)
Execute Cycle: CPU performs the instructions

Top 5 Accessory Essay : Top 10 Iphone X Accessoriess
Top 10 iPhone X Accessories
Apple almost manages to amaze its audience and the tech giant did just that when revealing the new
iPhone X. The phone caused a commotion, thanks to its new revamped design and advanced
functions. So, what should you accessorise the phone with to make the most of it? Here are the top
ten iPhone X accessories on the market.
Apple AirPods
It's important to pair your iPhone X with good headphones and the tricky thing is they have to be
wireless. However, the original Apple AirPods are definitely your best option to go with. They
connect quickly and you can even use them to answer calls, as they have built–in microphone. You
can easily listen to 24 hours without having to recharge – which also won't take a lot of ... Show

It's a quirky little thing that would also make a perfect gift for someone you love and who has the
iPhone X.
iPhone Leather Case
Apple is offering its own leather casing for the iPhone X and it's a great accessory to get. The phone
definitely needs a protective case – it is all–glass finish design so you want to keep it safe. The
leather case is great because it doesn't just protect and cover the back but also the front. You can also
get it in multiple colours from saddle brown to red.
iPhone X Leather Folio
Another option is to get the more expensive Leather Folio cover from Apple. The cover has a rear
panel and a flap that covers the front of the phone. The flap is quirky because you can also place
your credit card and other small essentials inside it. You don't just get a cover for your phone but a
handy little wallet all at the same time.
Mophie Powerstation USB–C
If you travel a lot, you will know the struggle of finding somewhere to charge your phone. The good
news is that you can accessorise your iPhone X with this powerstation by Mophie and never have to
worry about charging on–the–go. The big battery can boost your other Apple products too – you
won't need to worry about running out of power with your phone or MacBook.
iPhone Lightning Dock
You might not be a big fan of wireless charging. For those that want something that looks good and
charges fast the original Lightning Dock is a great pick. You can keep using the phone

A New Hope : Star Wars : A New Hope
A War With The Force
Star Wars: A New Hope, brought forth a diversification in the industry of not just a science fiction
film, but a contemporary aspect of film in the late 1900's. On the 25th of May 1977 George Lucas
released a two hour journey through a dreamlike universe in which this exceptional exploration
takes place. Star Wars fabricated the start of the science fiction film era. Science fiction provides an
incogitable world that alters the thoughts of general world, and offers a chance for the reader or
viewer to relate the altered world to their world. Star Wars offered this to dreamers of that time and
bestowed a escape from reality on its viewers. This is illustrated when ¨Luke¨ played by Mark
Hamill takes his first steps into a truly legendary expedition across the galactic universe. Luke is not
alone on his dangersome journey along the way he finds his Mentor ¨Obi–Wan Kenobi¨ played by
the ingenious actor Alec Guinness. Luke´s journey across the galaxy is distinctly related to The Hero
Cycle, composed by Joseph Campbell. The Hero Cycle explains the events in which a character
grows into a hero and fights their way through a fatal battle all to obtain elixir or experience. In this
essay I will illustrate how Star Wars: A New Hope relates to The Hero Cycle. A New Hope first
introduces Luke on a sandy desert on the treacherous planet of ¨Tatooine¨ where he is accompanied
by R2–D2 a highly intelligent droid, and C–3P0 who is also a brilliant droid that can

R2-D2 Lunchbox And A Box Of Gummy
It all began with an R2–D2 lunchbox and a box of gummy candies that cost a dollar. As a child, I've
always had an affinity for making money. Initially, I believed this skill came from my name,
Matthew, an apostle who left his great wealth to follow Jesus, or rather the Lord answered my
mother who prayed for me to be successful. Nonetheless, the ability to sell and communicate to
others came naturally. As I navigated the aisles of foodstuffs contained within the 99–cent stores, I
saw not cheap food to consume but rather an opportunity. I stared intently at a brightly covered box
of candy and seized it immediately. It was an early Monday morning; I was in the third grade
preparing for school. I clutched the R2–D2 lunchbox close to my small chest; it measured no larger
than a sheet or paper and no greater height than four inches. I managed to stuff ten packets of
gummy bears in that bag that I planned to sell for fifty cents each. As I stepped into Ms. Scott's
third–grade class, I immediately advertised wares, within seconds my peers flocked to me like sheep
as I announced each aphrodisiac packet of worms cost fifty cents. Within seconds, a dollar
investment became five dollars. An overwhelming sense of satisfaction began to take hold, and so
began my passion for selling. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As time progressed, I expanded my stock and began to sell thirty packets of candy a day making a

The plot of Divergent is based on a post– apocalyptic society and focuses on Tris (formally known as Beatrice) who explores her identity within a society that defines its citizens by their social and personality. Star Wars is an epic space opera. The Galactic Empire is nearing his achievement to ending the Death Star, a space station with the power to destroy all planets. Emperor Palpatine plans to use this weapon to enforce his control over the galaxy and destroy the Rebel Alliance. Near the orbit of a desert planet Tatooine, a rebel ship escorts Princess Leia Organa, a member of the rebellion, who in fact aims to use stolen Death Star plans to help the rebellion find a way to destroy the Death Star. • 8. The Synthesis Of Apomorphine Was Historically Accomplished... Introduction: Apomorphine has been used as far back as 2000 BC. In 2000 BC the Mayan's noticed that the bulb and root of water lilies gave a narcotic feeling, as well as acted as an aphrodisiac and partial hallucinogen.1 Apomorphine belongs to a class of molecules called aporphines which are present in water lilies, more specifically in Nymphaea caerulea and Nymphaea ampla.1 While mild effects were shown in parts of water lilies, scientists wanted to know what exactly caused these effects. The compounds were isolated and tested to determine that apomorphine was the most active ingredient. The concentration of apomorphine was so low in the plants that isolation was impractical so a synthesis was designed to investigate the properties of apomorphine further; leading to apomorphine being used for Parkinson's disease, erectile dysfunction, and most recently Alzheimer disease. Synthesis2: The synthesis of apomorphine was historically accomplished by an acid–catalyzed rearrangement of morphine. This method typically had low and varying yields: anywhere from 0.6% to 46% yield. In 2008, a new synthesis was patented that shown yields as high as 55% to 70% yield. This new synthesis, scheme 1, uses phosphoric acid as the catalyst and phosphorus pentoxide as a water scavenger–water is the by–product of the reaction and the phosphorus pentoxide irreversibly binds to the water. The solution would then be heated to 90–100℃ in an inert atmosphere for two hours. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

George Lucas created the first Star Wars movie in 1977 featuring two heroes and a heroine battling an evil empire, which became a great success. The axis of a gyroscope is capable of maintaining balance due to an equilibrium of a spinning wheel that resists change in direction. Inside BB–8's spherical body is a circular, weighed "base plate" with omniwheels (omni means multi). This base plate, which I will call segway, houses a gyroscope which constantly spins with motor and rechargeable battery, to control the movement of BB–8 during its lifetime. As BB–8 rolls along the ground, the gyroscope attempts to maintain alignment, specifically to keep its head towards the top of the body. From the center of the segway we have a rod as BB–8's "neck" going up, with a servo in the middle, continuing to the top with a magnet that keeps BB–8's head at the top. The head can tilt because the inner "neck" can bend. The neck's tilting action is controlled by a servo. A servo is a small device that looks like a mechanized box with a bendable "arm", much like a remote control joystick. The servo receives an electrical input signal that changes the angle of the arm. This angle is called the output. Normally the servo arm is set stationary at 90° (straight up), with a range of 0° to 180°. The angle of the arm would change based on the input. Because of this, we now know how BB–8's head tilts. That's why when BB–8's body rolls, the head can tilt yet remains securely on the top of BB–8's body. How does its head turn? BB–8's head turns left and right using a rotation motor ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 14. Examples Of Archetypes In A New Hope George Lucas' Star Wars "A New Hope" is an award winning film that graced the silver screen in 1977. Star Wars: A New Hope (New Hope) conforms to Joseph Campbell's Hero's Journey. "George Lucas was an avid admirer of Joseph Campbell's writings, and used them as a direct reference in his creation of Star Wars." There is also a great deal of the Jungian framework that presents itself in a New Hope. A good number of archetypes are present in the film. Some characters are present with multiple archetypes and personas. • 16. The Similarities Between Star Wars And Religion The science–fiction film, Star Wars, has a had a significant impact on modern culture today as it relates to Greek mythology and religion. The popular film created by George Lucas uses many symbols to demonstrate the similarities between the movie and culture, such as the Tusken Raiders and the Nio. Fortunately, Star Wars stays open to all religions, allowing for different interpretations of all characters. The concepts presented in the movie allow for all viewers to further their knowledge of religion and understand the past in a more logical way. A similarity between Star Wars and religion are heralds and R2–D2. A herald was someone who carried a message, sometimes causing an adventure to begin. In the religion of Christianity, Matthew was a herald because he shared how Jesus, rejected by Israel, sent the disciples to preach the gospel to the world. In Star Wars, R2–D2 delivered the message that Princess Leia was in trouble and she needed help from Obi Wan Kenobi. This lead Luke Skywalker on an adventure to figure out who Obi Wan Kenobi was and why Princess Leia was in trouble. Therefore, both heralds and R2–D2 represent the messengers needed in order for a quest to unfold. Another comparison between Star Wars and religion are the Nio and the Tusken Raiders. According to Japanese tradition, the Nio were a group of guards that protected the Buddhist temples from those trying to enter. Today, two muscular structures stand in front of some of the Buddhist temples in East ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

He believed that in a hero's quest story the plot needs these aspects, the call to adventure, refusal of the quest, accepting the call, entering the unknown, supernatural aid, talisman/special offering, allies/helpers, tests & the supreme ordeal, reward, the journey home, and restoring the world. George Lucas the creator of the original six said he used this model for the Star Wars series. Star Wars IV; A New Hope begins with the herald Princess Leia and her ship being captured by imperial forces. Darth Vader, the commander of this ship, searches for Leia and Leia captured. It exists in a time before Earth was even thought of. At the start of the movie, a civil war is occurring between the Rebel Alliance and The Galactic Empire. A leader of the Rebel Alliance, Princess Leia, stole plans from the Galactic Empire (also known as the Imperial forces) for the Death Star. The Death Star was a very heavily armed space station with weapons capable of destroying an entire planet. After stealing the plans, Princess Leia sent two droids, R2– D2 and C–3PO, to the planet Tatooine with a copy of the plans in R2–D2's memory bank. (JATM)" Several times in Star Wars (1977), the Jedi Knights are shown meditating. Their meditation was "to clear themselves of emotion; particularly negative emotions such as aggression, fear, anger and hatred. (JATM)" Traditionally, the Jedi Knights were responsible for keeping the force in balance. They achieved this by destroying the dark side of the force. This enabled them to help return the balance of good and evil, the force, back to its natural state of equilibrium. They shunned the dark side of the force for it represented corruption and shunned the power of the dark side because it contradicted the Jedi Knight's role in society. The light side of the force focuses on positive emotions in life. Much of their emotion aligns with using the force ethically or for achieving good things in life. An emotion the Jedi Knights steered away from was passion. To them, it was considered dangerous and could lead a Jedi Knight towards the dark side of the force. • 22. Compare And Contrast Star Wars A New Hope And The Outsiders Star Wars: A New Hope and The Outsiders are not as different as most might expect. The pair of stories feature many heroes throughout, focusing on Luke Skywalker and Ponyboy Curtis. Both of these stories were originally books, before being adapted into movies. The Hero's Journey follows a narrative pattern that applies to nearly every story line there has ever been. The journey applies to both Star Wars: A New Hope and The Outsiders. The Outsiders by S. E. Hinton follows a young boy living in rural Oklahoma, who is part of a gang of teenagers called Greasers. Ponyboy and his friends are constantly up against the opposing social group, the Socials, creating conflict between the two groups. Star Wars: A New Hope, directed by George Lucas, is one of the most famous movies of all time, which centers in on an young adult that ends up on a journey to save Princess Leia and help the Rebellion fight off the Empire. Despite the contrasting genres of the stories, Luke Skywalker and Ponyboy Michael Curtis have a similar day–to–day life, have comparable aid from others, and face challenges that are very much alike. The Known World that both characters experience is more analogous than some might think, when comparing an alien planet to rural Oklahoma. The Known World, being the first step in the hero's journey, allows the audience to get to know the character and understand their personality and qualities in depth. Whether it be, from prisoners being taken by the opposing power, a new recruit for the Rebels against the insurgent empire, to anything such as bribes being performed essentially "under the table". There lies a very elaborate balance of power between good vs evil. The film begins as a rebel transport ship with Princess Leia finds itself flying into an area within which the imperial starship essentially forces the rebels to cede their territory. Because of the fact, that the imperial ship not putting up a fight against Han Solo was all part of the ploy to drag the Rebel group to the Death star where in turn the tractor beam from the structure sucked them up like a vacuum cleaner. Once on board of the death star, after C3PO and R2D2 aid the men in discovering that Princess Leia is on board, the group splits up in two different directions. The first group consisting of Luke, Han, and Chewbacca set up a scheme as it looks like they are arresting Chewbacca while dressed as Stormtroopers in order to gain access to the fifth floor where Leia was being incapacitated. Whereas, Obi–Wan Kenobi sought to find and disable the machines which were responsible for running the Death Star's tractor beam system, but however ends up going on an essential wild goose chase. Obi– Wan's goose chase derives primarily from the fact, that he felt an immense fluctuation within the force that he had not felt for a while and in turn sought to find out what he perceived as his old apprentice Anakin Skywalker now Darth Vader who most likely was causing it. • 28. Nature vs Nurture Essay Nature vs Nurture Most of us have an intuition that, although our genes provide advantages and constraints, we retain great control over our lives. However, we are developing a second, competing intuition that, like it or not, our genes determine our abilities, our preferences, and our emotions. We would like to think we are much more than the sum of our genes, but scientists have apparently demonstrated that our genes determine some of our most complex behavioral and cognitive characteristics. The focus on genes as the primary mode of biological explanation has been especially clear in the marketing of the Human Genome Project. In support of this project, Robert L. Authors of two studies claiming to have found a gene for manic–depression (in two different places), have both published retractions of their conclusions (Barron et al. 1993, Kelsoe et al. 1989), unusual and embarrassing events among scientists. Research in linking genes to complex human mental and behavioral characteristics has been tremendously successful in molding public opinion, in he absence of much lasting scientific evidence. The relationship between a gene and a human behaviour is rarely, if ever, a one–to–one correspondence, even though disruption of a single gene occasionally has a dramatic effect on behaviour. Nor can one quantify the contribution of genes as a whole to any particular behavior or cognitive ability. Instead, each gene is a single player in an intricate story, involving non–additive interactions of genes, proteins, hormones, food and life experiences, thus leading to effects one variety of cognitive and behavioural functions. Our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors certainly have biological mechanisms, but this does not mean we can separate and quantify the genetic contributions to these processes. References: Baron, M., N. To begin, Leia displays full logic and reason when Darth Vader boards her diplomatic ship heading for Alderaan, the home world of Princess Leia. After putting a message in R2–D2, her droid, Leia leaves one of the rooms aboard the ship and she flees from Stormtroopers, but soon after, a Stormtrooper shoots her and stuns her, leaving her body inert. They take Leia to Darth Vader, where Leia realizes who attacks their ship. • 34. Essay on Caffeine Effects In The Brain Caffeine Effects In The Brain Caffeine acts in a multitude of ways in the brain. The most recent studies explore the cooperative effects of adenosine and dopamine, as well as the increase in calcium in the interstitial fluid and possible accumulation of cyclic adenosine monophospate. The most popular discussions of earlier studies of caffeine demonstrate its antagonistic effects on adenosine receptors. While it has been reported that adenosine receptors are located throughout the brain, the various subtypes can be found in very specific areas. Studies have also shown that caffeine reactions in the brain are based on the localization of adenosine receptors, dopamine receptors, and the amount of caffeine. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... (Garrett, 1997; Myers, 1999) According to the Pacific Nueropsychiatric Institute "caffeine inhibits phosphodiesterase breakdown of cyclie 3',–5'– adenosine monophosphate. (Pharmacology, caffeine, 2) Again, this occurs only in large quantities that have yet to be naturally found in vivo. (Myers, 1999) Keep in mind that if cyclic AMP had a greater than normal concentration in the synaptic cleft, it would continue to breakdown adenosine which has a depressant effect on functions in the brain. For example, adenosine in the central nervous system inhibits neurotransmitter release and depresses locomotor activity, however with higher concentrations of cyclic AMP there is less adenosine so, the effects on the biology of the brain are an enhanced neurotransmitter release, and stimulated locomotor activity (Garrett, 1997). Another way caffeine acts on the brain is indirectly through the dopamine receptors. As stated by Garrett and Griffiths (1997), "Although caffeine does not bind directly to dopamine receptors a number of conflicting reports suggest that caffeine can either decrease or increase dopamine release" (p.535). For example, "Caffeine significantly decreases dihydroxyphenylacetic acid (DOPAC) levels in the striatum, hypothalamus, and frontal cortex, but increases DOPAC levels in the nucleus accumbens" (p.535). Case Of Failure Of The Data Nodes case of failure of the data nodes, the name node knows which data node has failed since that particular data node will not report back in time to the name node. The name node also knows where the data that is supplied to the data node has gone redundantly to the other data node. Therefore the job still goes to completion even though a couple of data nodes fail in the big data processing. Since the Hadoop MapReduce framework is master–slave architecture there is a chance of single point failure. The single point failure occurs when the name node itself fails. In that case there is also a presence of secondary name node that place in the event of single point failure. Figure 1 MapReduce Working IV. METHODOLOGY/ALGORITHM . Han Solo tries to turn around but it is too late. They are soon entering the Death Star. This is one of the first obstacles for the team, because now they have to rescue Princess Leia from her death, but it isn't as hard as they think. Luke and Han Solo come up with the idea to wear the Storm Trooper uniforms, the uniforms of the "military defense" of the Death Star. Luke is able to sneak into the cell where Leia is kept, and therefore completes his first obstacle, but there are many more to come. After rescuing Leia, she then becomes one of his allies, and will help him later in the movie. Leia's theme is beautifully constructed with horns, flutes, violins and winds in between parts of the melody. It is a soft and sweet mellow that transmits a sense of beauty not only to Princess Leia, but to the song itself. The theme is first played in Episode IV: A New Hope, the first movie of the trilogy. At first it may be strange to have this consuming feminine melody being related to Princess Leia. The theme goes more along the lines of a romantic, vulnerable, and passive woman; to which Princess Leia is the total opposite to. • 62. The Influence of Star Wars in Today´s Culture Essay Motion Pictures have always had a strong influence in today's culture, but maybe none as prevalent as Star Wars. Originating with Episode 4 A New Hope, the series boomed from 1977 to 2005 with yet another addition coming in 2015. The strongest of the series was the original trilogy episodes 4, 5, and 6, all generally released in the 1980s. As one of the strongest film francaises still today, it's impact within the 1980s was only the tip of the iceberg. Children and adults alike still anticipate the new edition of this seemingly endless journey. If any singular film series still holds prevalence in its future decades it is Star Wars: Original Trilogy. Far off in a distant galaxy an infamous story would begin, A New Hope. This episode is ... It is about a youth hockey team, The Mighty Ducks, which are reunited to represent Team USA in an international competition which takes place in Los Angeles, California. The main characters are Coach Gordon Bombay played by Emilio Estevez, Charlie Conway played by Joshua Jackson, as well as all the other members of the team who play pivotal roles in the film. Mighty Ducks D2 was a film that played a vital role in influencing American born hockey players, and kids from non–traditional hockey markets to try hockey and ultimately want to represent their country playing hockey. One of the main contributing factors to the movies success was its Entertainment value. This is comprised of the hook, action, suspense, and TR sequence. The movie opened with a tremendous hook starting when former minor league player and coach Gordon Bombay rounds up all the original members of The Mighty Ducks from various areas and background to bring them back together to play for Team USA in The Junior Goodwill Games. Action was heavily exemplified in all their games but emphasized when they competed against the bigger, stronger, and heavily favorited Team Iceland. • 70. Drugs And Drug Development Journey The unlikely route from inflammation to antipsychotics The drug development journey leading to olanzapine (Zyprexa) reaching the market did not always follow the steps of rational drug design. Inspired by the first antipsychotic drugs, it took a while from the first discovery of antipsychotic drugs until Zyprexa was developed. The first antipsychotics were come across largely by chance. They were not specifically tailored to a relevant biological effector as rational drug design promotes. Even now as most drugs, Zyprexa is not quite perfect, it is accused of side effects such as weight gain and diabetes. But it has proven to be a potent medication for the treatment of schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and today is also widely used for the treatment of depression (Perlmultter. 2014). The story of this drug begins in the streets of Paris (and Lyon) in the 1930s, where the pharma– company Laboratoires Rhône–Poulenc (today Sanofi) noticed that the drugs they were developing as antihistamines also demonstrated relaxant and sedative effects (Shen ,1999; Healy, 2004). Their observations and research eventually lead to the synthesis of chlorpromazine in 1950, the first drug with specific antipsychotic action (Yuhas, 2013). Chlorpromazine was the first so called typical/first generation antipsychotic drug, introduced to the market in 1952. The discovery of chlorpromazine is still considered one of the greatest breakthroughs in psychiatric care, and was the first drug in its class ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Results: What I found out is that after doing the lab is that there are three cycles that the CPU goes through in order for the program to be executed. I was able to come up with small programs for 2a and 3b that will execute according to the instructions given in the lab, which is shown below. Conclusions: I thought this lab was really awesome because I was able to construct a machine language program in binary code, as well as being able to put together a short assembly language program. • 80. A New Hope : Star Wars : A New Hope A War With The Force Star Wars: A New Hope, brought forth a diversification in the industry of not just a science fiction film, but a contemporary aspect of film in the late 1900's. On the 25th of May 1977 George Lucas released a two hour journey through a dreamlike universe in which this exceptional exploration takes place. Star Wars fabricated the start of the science fiction film era. Science fiction provides an incogitable world that alters the thoughts of general world, and offers a chance for the reader or viewer to relate the altered world to their world. Star Wars offered this to dreamers of that time and bestowed a escape from reality on its viewers. This is illustrated when ¨Luke¨ played by Mark Hamill takes his first steps into a truly legendary expedition across the galactic universe. Luke is not alone on his dangersome journey along the way he finds his Mentor ¨Obi–Wan Kenobi¨ played by the ingenious actor Alec Guinness. Luke´s journey across the galaxy is distinctly related to The Hero Cycle, composed by Joseph Campbell. The Hero Cycle explains the events in which a character grows into a hero and fights their way through a fatal battle all to obtain elixir or experience. In this essay I will illustrate how Star Wars: A New Hope relates to The Hero Cycle. A New Hope first introduces Luke on a sandy desert on the treacherous planet of ¨Tatooine¨ where he is accompanied by R2–D2 a highly intelligent droid, and C–3P0 who is also a brilliant droid that can ... • 82. R2-D2 Lunchbox And A Box Of Gummy It all began with an R2–D2 lunchbox and a box of gummy candies that cost a dollar. As a child, I've always had an affinity for making money. Initially, I believed this skill came from my name, Matthew, an apostle who left his great wealth to follow Jesus, or rather the Lord answered my mother who prayed for me to be successful. Nonetheless, the ability to sell and communicate to others came naturally. As I navigated the aisles of foodstuffs contained within the 99–cent stores, I saw not cheap food to consume but rather an opportunity. I stared intently at a brightly covered box of candy and seized it immediately. It was an early Monday morning; I was in the third grade preparing for school. I clutched the R2–D2 lunchbox close to my small chest; it measured no larger than a sheet or paper and no greater height than four inches. I managed to stuff ten packets of gummy bears in that bag that I planned to sell for fifty cents each. As I stepped into Ms. Scott's third–grade class, I immediately advertised wares, within seconds my peers flocked to me like sheep as I announced each aphrodisiac packet of worms cost fifty cents. Within seconds, a dollar investment became five dollars. An overwhelming sense of satisfaction began to take hold, and so began my passion for selling. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
