3. Our Classroom Rules
• Be in your seat and ready to work when the bell rings
• Treat others as you would want to be treated…No Bullying!!!
• Follow directions
• No cheating
• Obey all school rules

4. Expectations
• Be PROMPT: Come to class on
time; return requested
paperwork and homework by
deadline.
• Be PREPARED: Have all
materials and assignments ready
for class.
• Be CONSIDERATE: Do not talk
when your teacher or your
classmates are talking, talk
quietly, do not disturb others,
respect others and walk quietly
in the hall.
• Be ON TASK: Work quietly on
seat work/tests and listen
carefully to instructions.
• Be NEAT: Keep your desk and
the areas around your desk
clean, take care of your
textbooks, materials, and
classroom equipment.
• FOLLOW ALL SCHOOL
RULES: Refer to your student
handbook.

5. Classroom Procedures
Beginning of Period
• Enter the classroom quietly
• Submit papers in the assigned
trays (e.g. homework,
tardy/absent excuses, letter from
parent, letter from student etc.)
• Sharpen your pencils and sit in
your assigned seat.
• copy the agenda from the board
into your notebook and begin
working on your writing prompt
listed on the board.
End of Period
• Within the last ten minutes of
class, begin cleaning up &
putting away materials.
• Once you are done cleaning and
putting away materials, wait
quietly at your desk for
announcements.
• The bell does not dismiss you, I
will dismiss you.
• DO NOT RUN in the classroom
or halls once you’re dismissed.

• Name on board = No recess
• Name on board w/ 1 check mark = Call
to parent
• Name on board with 2 check marks =
after school detention
• Name on board with 3 check marks =
office referral

8. Homework
• Homework will be assigned once per week (Monday) and will be due on FRIDAY
• If you are doing re-do work, it is considered homework
• Late homework will not be accepted
• Failure to turn in homework will result in a grade of ZERO

9. Grading Scale
93-100 A
85-92 B
77-84 C
70-76 D
69 & Below F

10. In Our Class…
• You will be given chances to correct your work (Re-do).
• You can choose to write me a letter to communicate with me. It
can be about your concerns, feelings, achievements, or ask me a
question, I will always respond. Your letters are confidential.
• We will learn and grow together and we will treat everyone with
respect.
