2. INTRODUCTION TO
CAUSE-EFFECT DIAGRAM
Cause effect diagram is one of the seven
tools of quality which shows the
relationship of all factors (causes) that
lead to a given situation (effect). It
identifies major causes and breaks them
down into several sub causes.
For example:-
material machine measurements/policies
quality
problem
3. men/people methods
It was created by Dr.Kaoru Ishikawa, an
engineer and professor in Japan and thus
named after him. Cause effect diagram is
also called fishbone diagram due to its
resemblence from fish’s skeleton.
In a nutshell, the main purpose of this
diagram is to define a problem, identify
possible cause, isolate the cause and then
develope a solution. But the real problem
becomes which of the factors is either
totally,mostly or somewhat responsible for
cause of the problem.
4. POOR PLACEMENTS OF
STUDENTS- CAUSE
EFFECT DIAGRAM
As discussed ,any situation can be easily
seen through using a cause effect diagram.
It’s a simplified version of our problem
regarding the weak placement of students.
Because it is a pictorial representation,
it is very easy to understand and make
conclusions.
Talking about placements,it depends on
various factors,internal and external,
direct and indirect, petty and enormous and
etc,etc.
5. low number of core less annual
companies percentage
lack of practical under confidence
knowkedge
less technical poor presentation
skills
weak programming
low vocabulary
poor english not so smart
personality
6. inappropriate less knowledge
resume’ of the subject
lack of general less speed
knowledge
package less knowledge
problem of computers
recession import/export
manufacturing availibility of
raw materials
foreign market sensex
8. ROOT CAUSES
We can conclude from the above
cause effect diagram,the root
causes among the many by their
dependence and influence on
the problem.
RECESSSION AND
INFLATION
POOR ACADEMIC RECORD
AND KNOWLEDGE OF THE
SUBJECT
9. POOR PRESENTION BY
THE STUDENT.
SOLUTIONS TO THE
ROOT CAUSES
EVERY NEXT DAY,THERE ARE
CHANGES IN MARKET CAUSING
RECESSION AND INFLATION WHICH
DIRECTLY AFFECT THE PLACEMENT
RATES OF COMPANIES IN VARIOUS
SECTORS LEADING TO A SINOSUDAL
VARIATION.THESE UPS AND DOWNS
LEAD TO VARIATION IN THE ANNUAL
PACKAGES OFFERED TO STUDENTS.
10. THE ECONOMY NEED TO BE
CONTROLLED AND RUN IN A PROPER
MANNER FOR GOOD PLACEMENTS.
EVEN STUDENTS HAVE THEIR SHARE
IN THIS PROBLEM.THEIR LACK OF
KNOWLEDGE ,POOR PERFORMANCE IN
ACADEMICS,EVEN POOR GENERAL
KNOWLEDGE AND MANY MORE FACTORS
ARE ALSO RESPONSIBLE.
SO THE
INSTITUTES,UNIVERSITIES AND
STUDENTS NEED TO RAISE THEIR
ACADEMIC STANDARDS IN ORDER TO
IMPROVE THIS SCALE.
PRESENTATION PLAYS AN
IMPORTANT ROLE DURING THE
INTERVIEW IN JOBS AN
UNFORTUNATELY,MANY STUDENTS ARE
NOT SMART ENOUGH TO PRESENT
THEMSELVES AND THEIR
11. TALENTS,CERTIFICATES AND DEGREES
IN A SELLABLE WAY.
A LARGE CROWD NEEDS TO IMPROVE
IN THIS PART.
LESSONS
LEARNED BY
THE TEAM
WE LEARNED A LOT ABOUT CAUSE EFFECT
DIAGRAMS AND OUR TOPIC “PLACEMENTS
FACTORS”.
12. CAUSE EFFECT DIAGRAM IS USEFUL
IN SOTING OUT THE CAUSES OF
DISPERSION AND ORGANISING MUTUAL
RELATIONSHIP.IT IS AN EXCELLENT TEAM
PROBLEM SOLVING TOOL,WHERE A TEAM
CAN GATHER TOGETHER TO“BRAIN-
STORM”THE POTENTIAL CAUSES AND
RESOLUTION TO SOLVE VARIATION
PROBLEM.
