Solution :
(i) Linear and non - Linear functions
Linear functions: When the variable are linearly dependent and the graph of the function is straight line
( ) a , a linear function
e.g.
y = 2+3x is the equation of linear function
the graph of this equation is straight line.

Non – Linear Functions :
The functions which are not linear are called non linear functions. A quadratic or parabolic
function is called non – linear functions .
