2. What Is Hunger?
Do you know what is hunger.
Hunger is when you don’t have enough food,water,
and nutrition that your body needs.
For example , the people in Africa suffer from
starvation and other nature disaster that lead to
hunger eventually lead to death .
Hunger can be achieve by not eating enough food
and not drinking enough water .
Hunger can lead to more serious sickness like
malnutrition, starvation and etc.
3. What causes Hunger?
• People in countries like Africa do not have enough food .
Another example will be during war the people have lack of
food supply and hunger can be a main cause of hunger
• Poverty lack of food can cause hunger as without money
people wont be able to buy the resources they need.
• Climate and weather can lead to hunger as,during the
natural disasters the food supply will most probably be cut
• Food wastage is also a problem and over the years people
have been told to order only the amount of food they need.
• Food prices are sometimes too high causing the low income
people to not afford the food and nutrition they need.
4. Statistics
• Year 1990 – 1992 the statistics there were 1 billion
mal-nutritioned people.
• 1992 – 2001 it became 919 million
• 2004- 2006 (898 million )
• 2007-2009 (860 million)
• 2010-2012 (868 million)
• Through this statistics we can see that the number of
mal-nutritioned people had decreased.
5. History of Hunger
• In 1931 , there was a huge number of
unemployment (Great Depression) there were
people on the streets starving from hunger. Firstly
the restaurant supplied free food the unemployed
people and even more restaurant were inspired
and motivated in supplying the food. Through the
help of this kind and generous people, you can see
that the number of mile nutritious people had
decreased.
