2. filming When we was filming our production we decided to add further shots to what we had originally planned because once we were filming we had good if not better ideas when we were filming about what we could potentially include but we had ones that didn’t make the final cut because they weren't realistic e.g. having a shot of bin bag that represented a body bag. Once we had reached the set the only major problem was the conditions we were in, a slippy ground underfoot caused a concern because filming a shot on a hill with a slight incline caused me to slip down it when we came from off the hill. But other than that a slight problem was the background sound picked up from cars on some of the shots. Lighting wasn’t really an issue as we filmed in day-light, but saying that it was on a cloudy. But these weather conditions were to our advantage as we didn’t want a bright sunny day to film a tense opening scene of a thriller as it would have taken that scary edge from off the start. A couple of shots that were filmed had to be taken a few times e.g. the scene in which a car comes toward the camera. This was a problem because when we were recording the car didn’t come enough into the picture or it came to close into the picture which would have ruined our next shot.
3. editing When we were editing we came across a few problems such as a shaking camera which obviously had to be edited out but background sound from cars was a problem because if we muted that bit then you might not have heard the dialogue that was in that particular shot. When we had finally finished the editing of the film we included a sound track over the production which was useful as some background sound was in effect left out as this reduced that sound. Special effects that we used were ones such as transitions between each slide and this was rather effective in our final production as it smoothly moved from each slide as oppose to been rough and unprofessional looking, something we didn’t want to reduce the credit from the final piece. We achieved this through a group discussion and all finally agreed on the best slide transition like a lot of our work, it was discussed as a group. Finally when we were actually editing the final production we all found it rather easy to function and use as we all had a brief understanding from our previous task, and as a result of this I feel that as a group all our skills in editing have increased and significantly improved.
