This document describes a procedure called "text2smile" where participants would send a smiling photo via MMS to a partner once a day for three days and request one in return, with the goal of creating calm. Feedback from participants indicated they felt better after exchanging smiling photos, found it easy to do from their phone without having to remember, and were glad for the simple approach.
