Aims of NCC
To create a human resource of organised,
trained and motivated youth, to provide
leadership in all walks of life and always
available for the service of the nation.
To provide a suitable environment to motivate
the youth to take up a career in the armed
forces.

contribute to nation development.

National Cadets Corps (NCC) day
• National Cadets Corps (NCC) day is celebrated
every year on the fourth Sunday in the month
of November.
• On that day the first units were raised in
Delhi.

Discription
• Red colour depicts the Army
• Deep Blue colour depicts the Navy and
• Light Blue colour depicts the Air Force.
• The seventeen lotuses represent the 17 State
Directorates.
• "Unity of Discipline“ (Ekta aur Anushasan)

Certificate examination “B”
• Cadet must be in second year of SD/SW NCC
Training
• Must have attended one Camp.
• Cadets possessing 'A' Certificate will be
awarded 10 bonus marks.

“C” Certificate examination
Cadet must have passsed 'B' certificate.
Must attend 2 camps
The Cadet must be in third year of SD/SW NCC
Training

(Army)
• IMA Dehradun- 64 vacancies every year through
UPSC and SSB interview.
• OTA Chennai. 100 vacancies every year for Short
Service Commission
• For non Tech- No UPSC exam only SSB interview

Navy & Air force
06 Vacancies per course- No UPSC exam only
SSB interview.
Two year age relaxation for NCC ‘ C’ certificate
holders

10 % in all courses including flying training
courses.
