2. Overview
Motivation makes a difference in person
achieving his goal.
Motivation is a key to success.
As it is mentioned in our book “ Motivation can
be a personnel trait or character” (page 445).
Motivation gives encouragement to finish a
task and achieve our goals.
3. Is it a powerful tool?
In my classroom every time I encourage a child to color
more it works.
With motivation we have to reward the kids as well.
Motivation makes children feel confident and they feel
they can achieve their task easily.
By motivation we are bringing positive encouragement
to our classroom.
4. Motivation and Learning
Motivation and learning goes side to side.
If one is missing it gets harder to achieve the
second
“Motivation can be seen as a way to help children
learn new things” ( page 445).
As teacher motivate a child to sound out the
words it gets easier for the child to accomplish
this skill easily.
5. How to motivate?
An effective teacher will set goals for
specific children according to their needs and
then help them achieve their goals by
motivating them.
Also, presenting lesson with full energy makes
children excited and in that excitement they
are self motivated.
Reward children for achieving their goals is
another effective way to motivate children.
6. Summary
To summarize this I would say that
without motivation it is harder to
achieve set goals.
Motivation and learning goes parallel to
each other.
Teacher motivate students to complete
the given tasks.

“As the new school year begins the most common
problem that teachers and parents face is lack of
student motivation. Motivation can either come
from within the student (intrinsic) or from
outside (extrinsic). A child who is intrinsically
motivated performs a task because of the joy
that comes from learning new materials”.

“Motivation to persist and to succeed even
when mastery of a task is difficult is a critical
component in being a successful student. In
fact, this component is so important that it is
actually an essential characteristic of a
student who is identified as gifted”.
