regulations including HIPAA.
If there is any legal action or dispute, the CoC can be
used as evidence.

The Chain of Custody Process

Documents stored in locking shred bins that are locked until papers are shredded
Locked bins are loaded in trucks to be shredded offsite using barcodes for
tracking
Shred bins are dumped into industrial shredders and sent for recycling
The ink is washed and paper shreds are pulped and recycled. A certificate of
destruction is sent to complete the chain of custody process
