Lucas Wood

- Worked in crime-preventing division in government but
left with his co-worker Dale Carter to fulfil their aspirations
of dealing with crime more personally
- He is introduced as the hero BUT as he becomes
obsessed with revenge he becomes an anti-hero.
Dale Carter
- 32.
- Comes from a very poor background but builds his own
empire.
- He is introduced as the villain BUT as Lucas Wood’s
heroism declines, Dale seems less and less evil. - His role
is to antagonise Lucas
Phil
- 27.
-Lucas’ best friend.
- Although he dies in the opening, he is important as his
death causes Lucas’ decline in heroism and morality
which is the centre of the film.
Julie Marble
- 29.
-Lucas’ girlfriend
- Her role is to remind the audience that Lucas is human
and therefore relatable.
- Throughout the film she tries to convince Lucas to giveup his revenge obsession.

4. NARRATIVE & SETTING
ACT 1: SETUP
opening 10 mins:
Lucas Wood is introduced as the Hero as he is seen trying to stop criminal activity.
Phil is murdered.
Julie Marble is introduced
next 20 mins:
Lucas Wood is troubled by Phil’s Death.
Lucas becomes obsessed by ideas of revenge against Dale Carter.
PLOT TWIST 1 – (10 MINS)
Lucas reveals that he used to be a good friend and co-worker of Dale Carter.
ACT 2: CONFRONTATION - (40 MINUTES)
Lucas is seen as helpless as he faces various problems.
This is where most of the action scenes take place.
Shock: Lucas finds out that Dale Carter only became money-obsessed to pay for his
sister’s cancer treatment.
Lucas reconsiders his revenge on Dale.
PLOT TWIST 2 - (10 minutes)
Julie is murdered by unknown source
ACT 3: - (20 minutes)
Lucas suddenly attempts to kill Dale Carters family.
Dale convinces Lucas to let them go in last moments
SHOCK, CLIFF-HANGER ENDING:
All seems well, but Dale Carter is suddenly murdered by an unknown source
unrelated to Lucas.
