The student worked on a film project split into four groups of five students. They analyzed modern and old film noirs to determine the rules for their project. However, they faced several problems including their teacher leaving mid-project and scheduling conflicts that prevented regular filming. They also had an argument within the group that caused one student to miss filming for weeks. Overall, the student was satisfied with the project and felt their hard work led to a positive response from viewers, despite the challenges.

1. Evaluation
We started the project by splitting into four groups of five and looking at modern and old film noirs and
analysing them. In my there was Eyyaz (executive producer and camera man), Jacq (actor, editor),
Jordan (sound, actor), Denis (actor) and I was the DOP. We decided on our rules fairly quickly but we hit
a number of problems afterwards.
One of those problems was that our teacher left at the middle of the project, and also we lost a lot of
filming sessions because every time at least one of us was not available. Or the location that we wanted
to use was not available, also we didn’t film for a few week because Denis had an argument with the
group and she did’t come. So in future if I had a chance to do a project similar to this I make sure that
everything is planned before going off to filming and in Denis situation I would tell the teacher because
we just cannot wait for one person.
The story was written by Eyyaz and Denis and it was so clear that they have done a good because the
story has a good feel for this genre and it was suitable.
We also did four group meetings which is uploaded on Soundcloud and Iwill also embed it on to my
blogger.
The good things was that we had probably all the equipments we needed for this project. This stopped
us from the hassle of booking and carrying it to the location.
The other good thing that happened due in the project was that unfortunately I missed filming the
whole last scene because I was admitted in the hospital, but the team got valenkorn to cover me in my
absent. Most groups would just stop the filming because since this was not predictable we did this, and
it showed that we could solve problems and find a way round it.
I thinks editing is excellent and the choice of music in the editors cut was brilliant. If I could change
things in the editing I would make the last scene short and neater. But overall i am satisfied working
with this group and most things worked out for me. We worked hard for this project and this is why we
had such a high positive response from our viewers.
