4. About ANKURAN
•ANKURAN – A highly engaging and specialized Tech-Fest was
launched in 2013 for the first time.
•It was built on the foundation of adding value to the
curriculum by amplifying the role of student in sustainable
development.
•It was launched to celebrate the role of Engineering in
addressing some of the many challenges the world is facing
today.
•It is conducted between two major milestones in ECOSOFTTs
global calendar, March 22nd, World Water Day and April
22nd World Earth Day. The goal is also to bring the real world
to the classroom and take the classroom to the real world.

13. About SIE
• In addition to Ankuran, for the first time, ECOSOFTT introduced yet
another first in Jabalpur and the Mahakoushal Region – The Social
Innovation and Entrepreneurship Awards associated with Dr.
Steven White, MIT and X-Labs, Tsinghua University Beijing. A special
Social Innovation & Entrepreneurship Award will be presented to
the teams that showcase their talent and demonstrate their
interest in taking an entrepreneurial journey to make their social
innovations come to life and bear fruit. This year cash prize award
was 15,000 & 10,000. This award will be raised from INR 25,000 to
INR 50,000 in 2016 and progressively set up an incubation center
for ideas and social innovations.
• The teams participating in the Social Innovation & Entrepreneurship
Awards will also be supported via mentors locally and be given
international exposure via exchange programs organized by the
institutions in collaboration with ECOSOFTT and its is associates
around the world.
