  8. 8. Eco club framed the Rules and Regulations to reduce thegarbage level in measurable terms. As a motivational factorEco club – took initiative steps to update the notice boardand charts were displayed by the students.
  9. 9. Drawing Competition on “Clean Neighbourhood” Assembly activities to bring awareness among the students - speech - conversation - environmental quiz
  10. 10.  Before implementation the garbage produced was measured. It considerably reduced to 71 kg from 250 kg per week.
  11. 11. A compost pit was dug near the school todispose the biodegradable garbage.
  12. 12. Street Visit Student volunteers visited the adopted neighbourhood streets (Maraimalaiadi street & Vivekanda street) & created a sense of cleanliness among the residents through various activities
  13. 13. Street play was enacted by the students to explain the hazards of garbage
  14. 14. The streets are cleaned by the corporation workers. Thischange is sustainable and monitored periodically by ourstudents.
  15. 15. A rally was organized by our students to createawareness among the people regarding neighbourhoodcleanliness.
  16. 16. A street play was performed by the students infront of the local corporation office for the publicwhich gained appreciation.
