The proposed music video explores modern relationships and sexuality by portraying a longing relationship between a lesbian girl and her heterosexual friend. The narrative is split into two sections, one showing the darker side of the main character walking melancholy through the streets, and the other showing happier flashbacks of their time as friends. Key locations include Primrose Hill for establishing shots and Camden Town for crowd scenes inspired by "Bittersweet Symphony". The lyrics about undying love will relate visually to scenes of the main character making her way through the streets carrying her story.

2. REPRESENTATION
OF SEXUALITY
In the music video we will be exploring the
concept of modern day relationships and
sexuality, and putting our own unique twist on
it. We decided to go against the stereotype of
lesbians who are often thought to be “butch”
and “masculine”

3. THE NARRATIVE
• The music video will somewhat link to the lyrics of the song as the narrative is based
on a longing for a relationship that cannot exist between a lesbian girl and her friend
who is heterosexual.
• The narrative will be split into two sections, one showing the darker side of the main
character where she is seen walking in a melancholy state and bumping into people
carelessly.(idea from The Verve - Bittersweet Symphony) The second section of the
narrative will be brighter and will be about the happy flashbacks of the two girls time
as friends.
The two images are examples of the kind of scenes we will be
aiming to re-create in our music video, it is clear to see the
contrast in colour and mood through the facial expressions

4. LOCATIONS
• Primrose Hill- We decided that
this would be a good location
to do a lot of the filming as it
has a great view on London
allowing us to do an
establishing shot of the setting.
Camden town- For the scenes that
require a crowd of people to add to
the scene we will be filming in
Camden. The scenes for this location
would be the ones inspired by the
Sweet symphony video by The Verge.

5. HOW THE LYRICS WILL RELATE TO THE
VIDEO
• The lyrics are about someone who he an undying love
for another individual. The lyrics will link to the visuals at
some points for example “carry your story wherever I
may go” will show the main character making her way
through the streets.
