2. Personal Development, Health and Physical
Education (PDHPE) aims to develop the
knowledge, skills and attitudes of students to lead
healthy, active and fulfilling lives.
PDHPE is one of the 6 key learning areas in the NSW
primary curriculum. The aim of the syllabus is to
develop the student as a whole, encompassing all
aspects of an individual’s wellbeing, inclusive of
social, mental, physical and spiritual health.
3. • Personal Development, Health, and Physical Education is taught to

Interacting
Decision Making
• Promotes safe and healthy living across all
areas of life
