2. PDHPE provides students with the knowledge,
understanding, skills, values and attitudes which are
essential to leading a healthy, active and fulfilling life. The
aim of PDHPE is to form a basis for students to adopt a
responsible and productive role in society. In order to
achieve this aim, the five essential skills
(Communicating, Decision Making, Interacting,
Moving and Problem Solving) are applied and practiced
in each strand so that students are able to use them
effectively in their lives, both present and future.
