Based on a simple ideas of Robert
Owen (1771-1858)
known for his efforts to improve
factory working conditions
Charles Babbage (1791-1871)

concluded that people were crucial to the
success of an organization.

Frederick Winslow Taylor
(1856–1915). Taylor explored
what he termed "scientific
management" (sometimes
referred to as "Taylorism"),
striving to improve economic

first management consultants.
