The airline commenced operations on May 9, 2005 with flights between Mumbai and Delhi using Airbus A320 aircraft. At its peak, Kingfisher operated over 100 flights daily to over 25 domestic destinations and a few international routes. However, the airline incurred significant losses and was grounded in October 2012 due to financial difficulties.
