This experiment is an SN2 reaction: 1- bromobutane i need someone to write an introduction for this experiment and Discuss any relevant/background information, Mention the following in the introduction: Primary alcohol, nucleophilic substitution, SN2, nucleophilic attack, nucleophile/bromine, leaving group/water, competing reaction(s), 1-butene, dibutyl ether 1-2 paragraphs. CAN YOU PLEASE TYPE AND NOT WRITE THE ANWER PLEASE Solution Introduction : Bromobutane are alkyl halide and contain 4 carbon atom.It is colourless and insoluble in water but soluble in organic solvent due containing of alkane chain .Molecular formula are CH 3 (CH 2 ) 2 CH 2 Br. Primary alcohol= The alcohol in which -OH group attach carbon contain only one alkyl group called perimary alcohol .It always go through SN 2 mechanism. Nucleophilic substitution = in which strong nucleophille replace the weak nucleophille. SN2 reaction = it one step reaction in which bond formation and breaking are simultaneously. when primary alcohol react with HBr than Br - nucleophille attack on OH carbon to form 1-bromobutane and Water as leaving group. 1-Butene form 1-Bromobutane by addition of HBr but Dibutyl ether does not give 1-Bromobutane. .
