7. As you record, remember to hit PAUSE if you are taking a break and want to start in the same spot. If you hit STOP, then you will need to move your ‘cursor’ to the spot you want to begin. Otherwise, you will have two audio tracks playing at the same time. Not sure? See Slide 6 to move audio. Mrs. Bolton and Mrs. Munson are available for help. However, when you go to save your file (and not export), you will need to copynot only the file but the folder that goes with the audacity file. Look for an additionalfolder in your student folder – you will need to email this to yourself as well.
8. I’m done – now what? First, make sure you SAVE your file. Then go back to the Audacity Libguide and follow the directions to EXPORT your file as an MP3. IMPORTANT!! IF YOU DO NOT DO THIS STEP, YOUR TEACHER WILL NOT BE ABLE TO LISTEN TO THE AUDIO.
