2. This is a picture of three ipod touches. They will act as the bomb timers which will be strapped to the hostages being kept hostage by the terrorist. It will stimulate and create suspense the uses of quick cuts as the countdown to death begins. Bombs are also very conventional in this action films as they are destructive which is on of the key elements that this genre revolves around. These are very effective and small thus making them an easy prop to carry around with us. There will be 3, one for each hostage, connected to some broken wires and play doe so that they can be attached to the hostages easily.
3. Two low powered and harmless pistols will be the two agents' weapons. These will both be used within the film as props to continue fitting the conventions of an action film, however they will be secured and on safety at all times to prevent any mistakes happening as we would like for filming to be complete successfully. They are easy to carry and will not be filled with any sort of ammunition to make them as a safe as possible. The colour of the gun gives the connotation of death and that people’s life will be ended after facing it. These guns are conventional for agents as they can be well hidden and brought in to the action scenes very smoothly and unknowingly.
4. For a few of the scenes in the teaser trailer we are going to use Ben’s air rifle, the rifle will have the safety catch on and the magazine will be empty and out to keep it safe at all times. They will be secure and we will be in control of our actions especially since we are working with our fellow school friends. It size and colour connotes mass destruction to anything that gets in its way. This is a very conventional gun for the both the hero and the villain, however, to make the villain seem and look undefeatable, strong and intimidating we will give this to the terrorist keeping people hostage. Furthermore, the laser whereby you can pin point your target makes it perfect for hit man waiting to kill if his demands are not met. (In this case the terrorist)
