• Status: Comin Soon – Mid May
• Microsoft Bookings will be On by default, which gives all of your users the
ability to create and manage a Microsoft Bookings mailbox and calendar.
• Administrators can turn Microsoft Bookings Off for their organization.
• In the near future, administrators will be able to limit Microsoft Bookings to specific users
within the organization. We will update this post with those details when they are available.

• Updated Feature: Sharing behavior for non-Office resources
• Status: GA
• For files on OneDrive or SharePoint, recipients who have existing access to
Office file types currently receive a link to the file previewer on the web. The
links do not automatically download the file.
• We are now extending this behavior to all other file types. This behavior will
affect non-image file types first, such as PDFs. Images will begin to observe
the new behavior in May.
• Users that rely on links to download a file should view the details pane in the
OneDrive or SharePoint websites, click on More detail on the bottom, and
then use the Copy button next to the Path section.

• Updated Feature: Streamlining the recipient experience for links shared with “specific
people”
• Status: GA
• Users can choose to share documents in SharePoint or OneDrive with specific
people. The resulting link provides access only to those people they specify,
although other people may already have access. If someone forwards the
sharing invitation, only those who already have access to the item will be able to
use the link to access the document.
• After this update is available in your tenant, when users in your organization
receive a “specific people” link to files or folders on OneDrive or SharePoint they
will no longer be presented with a page directing them to click “Next” to sign in.

• The new card provides quick access to a
series of reports that can help you see
changes in the use of apps that imply remote
working.
• We are also adding a report on Microsoft 365
Apps usage and adding a new graph to the
Office 365 active users report to show total
activity across the services. We are also
updating the email activity report to include
calendar event activities.

• Updated - New Feature: Tags in Microsoft Teams
• Status: GA
• Using tags, team owners can organize users
based on a common attribute, such as role,
project, skill, training, or location. After team
members have tags, the team owner or a
tagged team member can create a channel
post, @tagName, that notifies only the users
who have that tag (in this case @tagName).
Tags are team-based; you have to a be a
member of a team in order to use an
associated tag.

• Update default policy to enforce lobby in
meetings
• Status: GA
• All existing users who are assigned the
"Global" Teams meeting policy will have the
lobby policy "AutoAdmittedUsers" changed
to "everyoneInCompany" and
"AllowPSTNUsersToBypassLobby" changed
to "False". That means, by default, a Teams
meeting will have a lobby for external users
joining via the Teams client or PSTN.

meetings:

• Tenant admins will be able to set a new default
policy for who can present. When organizers
schedule a Teams meeting, the default tenant
setting is honored, unless modified in the Meeting
options. The default value is se to "everyone" and
can be updated via PowerShell:
• Set-CsTeamsMeetingPolicy -Identity Global -

• New Feature: Changes to video layout in Teams
meetings
• Status: Coming Soon - early May
• We are increasing the number of participants
shown on the stage to 9 and making it video
optimized. For more than 9 participants, we
will prioritize those with video on and show
them on the stage. Participants with audio will
be shown below the meeting stage. Top rovide
a high audio and video quality experience, the
layout logic will consider user bandwidth and
alter the number of videos shown to provide
the best meeting experience.

Meetings
• Status: Coming Soon - early May
• When a meeting participant has raised their
hand, an icon will appear next to their name in
the roster view as well as their profile picture
or video on the main meeting stage.
Participants can lower their hand, and any
presenter can lower individual hands in the
meeting.
