2. Naturalism
• Naturalism is in a sense atheism they do not believe
in a god or an afterlife
• The source of morality is basically just human nature
• The difference between right and wrong is discerned
by common sense
• A problem with this theory are someone would have
had to learn right from wrong first but who taught
them.
3. Animism
What is the source of morality according to animism? Pleasing the beings in the
spiritual world.
On what is the decision of right or wrong based? When people do something
wrong, the spiritual beings gets upset and cause bad things to happen to the
troublemaker.
What might be some problems with this theory? People might change the way live
to appease God. They have fear and uncertainty to know what they should or should
not do.
4. Far Eastern Thought.
• What is the source of morality according to Eastern
thought? In Far Eastern Thought, morality is
expressed in the karmic system. As each expression
of the life force on earth lives its life rightly, it
accumulates good karma. If it lives wrongly, it
accumulates bad karma.
• On what is the decision of right or wrong based?
Karma.
• What might be some problems with this theory? You
probably wont realize what is good or bad karma until
after sometime.
