2. NAME OF OUR COMPANY:
Disconnected productions. We have decided to use the
name of disconnected productions as it gives the
audience a sense of what the plot of the film is about.
We have created the title on ‘livetype’ and have added
gaps between each letter to reiterate the ‘disconnected’
feature.
3. THE NAME OF THE FILM
• The name of our film is ‘ SCAPEGOAT”
• :-Scapegoat: One that is made to bear the blame of others.
• We chose this as our title because in the film the victim is
framed for doing something they did not do. It is a catchy one
word title that poses a lot of questions making it appealing,
intriguing and entices people to watch it…
4. KEY CHARACTERS:
• Our character is called Peter Reed, he is a 6ft2 and 21
years old. Living alone he is a law abiding citizen and is
going to be 'sick' with the flu during the scene, giving
him a sense of vulnerability. In the sequence he has
long brow hair and will be wearing a dressing gown and
slippers. The intruder will be dressed in black, like a
typical villain or 'intruder'. we will also add a sense of
enigma by never allowing the audience to see his face.
5. PLOT OUTLINE OF ENTIRE FILM:
• The main character ‘peter Reid’ is framed for a murder in which he did not commit. He did
not commit the crime, but he was found guilty and sent to prison for life. He is helped to
escape and seeks vengeance of the intruder who framed him.
6. OPENING SEQUENCE: PLOT OUTLINE
• A 21 year old man is ill in his house alone. An intruder
comes in the house creeping around without being
noticed. Our lead character notices a suspicious open
window in his home, but thinks nothing of it as he is
sick. The man (Peter Reed) eventually goes and sits
down and watches TV, he drops off to sleep the
intruder picks up a ring and puts it in his pocket. Peter
is suddenly awakened by a sound that the intruder
deliberately makes.
7. INSPIRATIONS….
• We have been on YouTube researching and watching previous students work from the
year above and professional films in order to gain ideas and inspiration. We did this in the
attempt to gain a greater understanding of the examiners are looking for in order for my
group and I to receive a high grade that we all wish to receive. While watching the older
students opening sequences, my group and I noticed one regular occurrence which
seemed to be the key plot of each film; this was the typical 'male stalker and female
victim' scenario. My group and I all came to the conclusion that we should attempt to
follow these ideas as they all seemed to get a high grades. However we plan on making
ours a little differently with a twist which will give our film its own personality and identity,
hopefully setting it aside from the others. Most of the opening sequences were made
more powerful and realistic because of the well timed and created titles. They all seemed
to be made to a very high standard. We have taken this on board and are now planning
and thinking about our own titles. I believe they are very important as they help to engross
the audience and can make or break a film.
