- Country SAKSS (Strategic Analysis and Knowledge Support Systems) were established to inform the design, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation of National Agricultural Investment Plans (NAIPs) in Eastern and Central African countries. - The key functions of Country SAKSS include providing timely analyses to support NAIPs, monitoring and evaluating progress using the CAADP Results Framework, managing knowledge and facilitating policy dialogue, and building human and institutional capacity. - Progress establishing Country SAKSS governance structures and analytical networks has varied across countries, with Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Uganda making the most progress in setting up advisory committees and coordination mechanisms for agricultural stakeholders and technical institutions.
