4. Internship Objectives
Chicago Job Corps would like students
to have the following hands on training
experience:
 Demonstrate professional customer service skills.
 Identify and interpret major components of a complete
prescription.
 Screen for completeness and make necessary
adjustments and/or forward to pharmacist as required.
 Identify appropriate situations to suggest a generic drug.
 Utilize business-related handbooks and workbooks.
 Process refills via electronic refill and phone systems.
 Demonstrate accuracy in counting and pouring
prescription medications, reconstituting mixables and
handling refrigerated medications.
